Works with a Lenovo Yoga that need 2242 SSDs
What do you do when you want to expand the storage of a modern laptop that accepts only 2242 SSDs? After all, the goal standard seems to be 2280 SSDs. You can find 2230 for the Steam decks of the world but then have to figure out an extension so that the SSD can be installed correctly. There are only a couple of 2242 SSDs out there and only two that have a 2TB capacity. This is the more expensive of the two options but it works flawlessly! W00t!

Bought for Lenovo Legion Go, works but overheats.
So bought this for my Legion Go to replace the 512Gb internal. Works well. It does get quite hot, hitting a peak of 99c when testing. Read the warranty fine print, 5yr, or "Up to 1000TB Maximum Total Bytes Written (TBW) to flash by capacity -OR- Up to 250 insertion/removal cycles to the host" The total bytes written can be retrieved with CrystalDiskInfo or other similar utilities. To give an idea, my work laptops uses a NVMe m.2 and is about 1 year old and has only 26 TBW. So these should last a fairly decent amount of time. Speed is good as well. Update: The drive continues to display abnormally high heat issues. Reaching as high as 107c without throttling notably. I regret to say but I cant recommend a drive that cannot throttle to control its temperatures.

Good option for SSD upgrade for Lenovo Yoga
There are not to many options for SSD upgrade at the lates Lenovo Yoga 8th generation laptops because of the SSD format - 2242. I got this one very quickly from Amazon. Speed test results - see attached screenshot. Also I used free Macrium Reflect software to copy my partitions from my "old" 1Tb Lenovo SSD, that I got with my laptop. It was very easy to copy the partitions using this software. Also I used Acronis Disk Director to shift and resize partitions because of the new SSD bigger volume + some Windows Power Shell commands after all to fix the Windows recovery partition: reagentc /disable reagentc /setreimage /path X:\Recovery\WindowsRE reagentc /enable , where X is the drive letter of your recovery partition. After it don`t forget to hide recovery partition by deletion of its drive letter in Acronis.

I think this is good value for money
Overall, this drive is fast and very well priced. It is new, so we shall see how it holds up after time, but overall I am very happy with the drive and the value it brings. I am using it as a gaming drive in my Legion Go and the install was easy and the drive took the cloning from the old drive very quickly.

Works as intended
Used this to replace a 256GB pcie 4 nvme from my Lenovo Z13. Works great so far and still shows fast results in crystal diskmark. Time will tell if the drive holds up. This is the only brand I could find in this form factor (2242) and with PCIe generation 4.

Runs hot, will throttle
Runs very hot and will throttle. I had to add a heatsink to avoid throttling. Using on a gmktec g2 plus.

Failed. Wonโt recommend for Gaming Handhelds such Lenovo Legion Go
I bought this VisionTek 2242 DLX4 M.2 SSD 2TB with high expectations for my Lenovo Legion Go, but unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing. Since day 1 the drive generates noticeable heat even under normal loads, negatively impacting both performance and durability. After a relatively short period of use, the SSD failed abruptly. The BIOS still recognizes that the SSD is connected, but neither Windows, Linux, nor macOS can detect any partition on the drive. I attempted to create a new partition several times, but the process always fails with an error indicating that the device has disconnected, suggesting a hardware issue. As a PCIe Gen 4 drive, I expected greater stability, but it seems incapable of handling high temperatures in handheld gaming systems like the Legion Go. I would not recommend this product for handheld devices due to these temperature issues and lack of durability. I wonโt be using this drive again in the future.

Warning - do not install in handheld pc
This drive operates very hot (like between 80-90c hot) and will brick your handheld ocer time. Even with a heatsync, the operating temp is far above recommended levels. I ran into this issue myself.
