Megaplants Mushroom Chai Tea | Organic Masala Chai Latte Coffee Alternative

After I could no longer get Alive Coffee, I started searching for a mushroom coffee replacement — and after almost a year of trying different options, I still hadn’t found anything I really liked. Then I discovered Mushroom Chai Tea! I had no idea Mushroom Chai Tea was even a thing, and since I absolutely LOVE chai, I knew I had to give it a try. This is only the second mushroom chai blend I’ve tried, and I can officially say my search is over🙌🏻 I use my frother to mix one heaping scoop with 8 oz of hot water and a little Chobani creamer and that's all it takes to make me one happy camper! It tastes delicious, is so easy to make, and has become something I genuinely look forward to drinking. I’m SO happy I FINALLY found this amazing product❤️🙌🏻

I feel as though it’s commonplace to buy a chai tea or latte somewhere and end up disappointed at its lack of flavor. Nootropic and other additives aside, the flavors alone are a five star in my opinion! You can definitely make a good tea at home with this and be satisfied, however I’m currently hooked on buying a chai latte from Dunkin (which is notorious in my opinion for lacking flavor) and adding a scoop or two of this mix depending on the size I get! I like my drinks iced so it does take some effort to mix in, but mixing and then letting it sit for a few minutes before mixing again does the trick for me! This is the first review I’ve left on a product in general, but I had to do it for this drink mix. Looking forward to the health benefits that this drink mix has, but even more than that the flavor this mix has. Like the other reviews said, it definitely packs a punch with its flavor and I could see how some people find it too spicy. If you’re at all worried about this I’d recommend adding it to another chai mix of some sort to mellow it out while still getting the benefits! Either like myself with a silly little drink from Dunkin/Starbucks or something made from home! Regardless you won’t be disappointed!

I like it. I may get it again. I consume mushroom supplements daily so this was more about just having it in a different way. I love Chai. This has a very low-key Chai flavor, but overall, I like it. Nice hot or iced. I think it will really come down to your own perception of taste, The product seems to be of quality, nothing alarming stands out. I would like to see the full ingredient list and nutritional panel in the product description. I bought this on a whim. Normally I take a closer look before ordering.

What’s happy to find the mushroom chai tea mix because there’s so many coffee options out there and I don’t drink or like a coffee.The flavor is good. I usually add this to my Tazo Skinny Chai Latte Concentrate so I don’t taste it in there, it doesn’t make it taste weird which is good. Since it has Chai spices in the mix I supposed you can just add boiling water or your favorite milk to it and drink it without a separate Chai tea bag/mix/concentrate, but I don’t. It comes with a tiny scoop. Pictured next to the scoop from my protein shake, a tablespoon and teaspoon for scale. The bag is small, and the quantity takes up less the half the size of the bag. See interior photo. I’ve decided to just buy mushroom powder mix going forward and add that to my own Chai. You can find mushroom powder mix for less money at a higher quantity. This is a nice all-in-one option if you’re traveling or don’t want to take the extra steps at home with your own Chai. I think it’s generally a good buy, but perhaps a touch expensive for the amount that you receive considering about half of this is makes up the Chai spices and only half the Mushroom powder, which is the whole point isn’t it?

This is not the same product that was previously carried. It taste nothing like the old formula is watery and has no flavor other than black pepper. I reached out to the seller to return it, but have not heard anything back. I would avoid this product.

It’s actually a decent tasting product, but with their “new and improved” version, it’s not spicy enough. So it seems like they catered to the people who have no idea what chai tea is supposed to taste like, which is definitely spicy! I was excited to find a chai powder with medicinal mushrooms, it really is a decent product…very clean, organic, no additives…but I need two heaping scoops for it to taste like a good chai in a standard coffee mug, making it cost prohibitive. I can totally understand the price point if the quality of the product is so good, medicinal mushrooms are not cheap, but I really dislike when I’m told something has a number of servings which is completely false and unrealistic, so that’s why only 3 stars. At least they don’t tell you a serving size is 4 ounces as another mushroom company does. I would assume they want people to come back for more, but can’t do it myself. Oh well.

I love this tea! It’s spicier than I like, but I add just enough creamer to make it work for me. This is much better than Ryze! It dissolves completely and never leaves sludge in the bottom of the cup. Mushroom tea does so much for my gut. Drinking this in the morning helps me make smarter decisions in the late afternoon and evening when I tend to be snacky.

There seemed to be a lot of back and forth from other commenters in regard to the taste of this product. Personally, I really enjoy it. However, I also enjoy spiced chai so, if you don't enjoy a more authentic spiced chai flavor, this might not be for you. I will also add, that I have found when I add almond milk (can't speak on dairy milk), I do find it to mute the spice flavor down. If I use a creamer I find the flavors seem to carry over better (doesn't tame the spice out). I have been drinking this consistently for about 5 days now. I was looking for a coffee alternative that could help with mental clarity throughout the day. The first day or two, I really didn't notice much, if anything I felt more tired. Starting on about the 3rd day, I started to feel this product working for me and that has remained. I'm really enjoying this drink as it's more of a gradual, natural alert and awake feeling versus the jittery shaky feeling coffee would give me. I also have anxiety and coffee would tend to heighten that feeling whereas this drink keeps me feeling grounded while alert and functioning. I have also found that I have more mental stamina later in the evening which, previously, I would find myself needing to supplement with a second option like an energy drink later in the day to stay focused. That's not to say that I don't still feel a little tired around 4pm, I do, but my clarity and focus don't seem to be impacted as much as before. I would repurchase this again when the time comes.
