Can the pods be rerun through the machine? Meaning, can I run a pod, expell it and run it again?

Accepted Answer

Yes. My favorite is “ Voltesso” & it makes strong, full flavor 1.35 oz cup which I double. Make your cup of coffee then, lift the top halfway and re-close (before it dispenses your pod). Press the coffee button on top and proceed making a 2nd cup-out of a single pod. I’ve done this since the beginning because a friend showed me that she did this with her coffee sometimes-When she didn’t want a stronger cup of coffee.

Question 2

I love these. But I drink double or triple espressos so this price & quantity is too much.. What else is comparable?

I found that the double espresso- chiaro scuro and other 2.7 is a good double shot.   And I like triple shot and for that, I use the gran lungo size- it’s a strong espresso.  For a regular cup of coffee, It’s the jump to the 7.7 ounce and above, these pods brew a regular cup of coffee and the strength and flavor of your coffee varies by your choosing - strong stormio, intenso and medium melozio and down to the very mild solelio.    But that gran lungo added a great jolt of espresso to my day when I discovered it isn’t a regular, brewed, half a cup of coffee, but a full on quad shot:-)

Which flavor is best for making iced caramel macchiato?

To make an iced macchiato, put ice, milk, and vanilla syrup in a cup. Then make your preferred number of shots and float them on top. Then drizzle caramel drizzle. This regular espresso is what they use in Starbucks stores for macchiatos.
