I love the flavour of this curry sauce on my fish and chips. I made the mistake of just adding boiling water and trying to mix it, but it was soon remedied with my mini battery operated whisk, microwave and some patience. It definitely works better by mixing in cold water and bringing to the boil in a saucepan. Any left over if I make too much I freeze and add to casseroles, soups or home made curries rather than throw it away. I love it and its well worth the money. I like it on my chicken flavoured instant noodles.

This tastes exactly like my local chip shop one. The flavour is spot on. Its so easy and fast to make up. I only wanted a bowl of chips with this so I used 50g with 300ml water it made enough for both mine and partners chips so will last us longer than I expected making it good value for me. Can't see me going chip shop again now I found this. I've tried many over the years and none beat this. It's a definite throw this into your amazon basket p and buy a bag of spuds from shop ready to enjoy together. Lush lush lush

Proper chip shop curry sauce, tastes great and makes a lot of servings.

This is the same as you get in Harry Ramsdens , ( I asked a server , she told me where they get it ) you HAVE to mix with COLD water then heat whilst constantly stirring , its delicious .

First class service and product

Too lumpy...needs to be prepared in a saucepan unlike Harry Ramsdens curry powder where the powder dissolved easily in some hot water. The taste is ok however.

Had to do some mathematics to make the quantity I needed (instructions are amounts for a large batch) but this is exactly the sauce you can get down your local chip shop. Tastes great. Easy and quick to make. Reminds me of the old vesta curry sauce from the 70s and 80s. Will absolutely buy again.

I’ve tried a number of alternatives, and also tried to make my own using various recipes, but this is the most authentic curry sauce mix by miles, based on the curry sauce in our local chip shops anyway. Easy to make up small amounts and exactly what I was looking for.

While it is delicious my packet was close to sell by date and as others have commented the instructions are rubbed off the packet. Another buyer did leave instructions and I love them for it. I’d like to buy to keep in the pantry a while.

Exceptional quality!

This is as close as I have found to true British chip shop curry flavor and texture, and I’ve tried them all! Expensive but worth it when you need a taste of home. Mix 4TBS to 300ml water, bring to boil and then simmer for couple mins to thicken up.
