NOT A SCOOBY DOO MOVIE! BUT SUPERB HANNA-BARBERA ANIMATION MOVIE!!
An excellent animation movie, which technically is NOT a Scooby Doo movie. It is the retelling of the Arabian Nights where the woman tells the Sultan stories to delay/prevent him from bedding her. The outer story with Shaggy & Scooby Doo is very funny. The Sultan says he will marry the hottest and cleverest member of his harem; and she turns out to be Shaggy in disguise! There are also two inner stories. A longer story with Yogi Bear as the Djinn in the Lamp in Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. Despite what most reviewers have said, this story is hilarious. Ignore the critics (there strangely seem to be a lot of Scooby Doo fans who mysteriously hate Hanna-Barbera's other classics. If, like me, you love Scooby Doo, because you love Hanna-Barbera's animation, you WILL love this longer inner story, it is superb!) Sadly, the second, shorter inner story isn't as good. It is a take-off of Sinbad the sailor, featuring Magilla Gorilla. I'm afraid Magilla is an acquired taste - which I haven't (acquired)! This 2nd inner story is why I have only given this 4-stars. But this is overall an excellent animation movie, despite the numerous ill-informed detractors! But they are right that it is not really a Scooby Doo movie!

Excellent Retro Scoiby Doo!
Bought this for my 17yo granddaughter who has been Scooby Doo mad since she was mesmerised in her walker. She used to stop dead in front of the tv whenever it was on! She's getting quite the collection now and couldn't be happier!

Not for Scooby fans...Scooby makes a guest appearance
This was very annoying because although Scooby Doo is written in big letters at the top, he barely makes an appearance. No Fred, Velma or Daphne at all. Scooby and Shaggy are the Scheherazade substitute story tellers, and are seen for a few seconds here and there at the beginning of each tale. The tales themselves are bland cheap and tacky cartoon making. Not for Scooby fans at all!

Scooby and Shaggy do not feature much
As my title suggests Scooby and Shaggy do not feature a lot in this DVD and the other cast do not feature at all. However my four year old still enjoyed this DVD. It based on the Aladdin story. Scooby and Shaggy add quite a lot to the comedy of the story when they do feature

Bad film. Deliver service was fine.
Just a bad film, didn't know that my kids would hate it so much, didn't keep their interest for more than 5 minutes. Lots of other good Scooby films to enjoy.
