16 in. Battery Operated Outdoor Misting Fan

I purchased this fan for my husband because the extreme heat inside his work truck was becoming unbearable. He works in a box truck with a metal interior, so it gets extremely hot and holds a lot of heat. So far, this fan has made a noticeable difference. We would rate the airflow about an 8 out of 10. Even with only about a 10–15 degree difference between the temperature inside and outside, it moved enough air to make the truck feel much more tolerable. The cordless battery option is a huge plus because he can position it wherever he needs it without worrying about having an outlet nearby. Of course, it isn't an air conditioner, but we weren't expecting it to be. We wanted something powerful and portable that could help him stay more comfortable while working in extreme heat, and this fan definitely does that. Very happy with the purchase so far!

If, like me, you live in an area where the power goes out often, this thing is a MUST-have. It is very portable, charges fast, and the battery holds the charge for months, when it isn't being used. It is super quiet, and the fan power/air flow is GREAT. It isn't cheap, but it is quality, and is the difference in a sleepless night with no power and no a/c. Not only that, but it would also be very good for camping trips. The second picture is of the battery, which does not need to be connected to the fan unless no power is available. The battery also has a port that you can use to charge a cell phone.

Well made product. Very sturdy and air flows out well. With the weather being so unpredictable it is good to have a action plan in place when the power goes out. Right size with this fan and able to place it where the fan is useful.

So far been really happy with the fan in terms of its power for the size. It moves a lot of air even at the lowest settings and the battery life has been incredible. I only use it infrequently in the office when it gets too warm and the females wont let me turn the AC on. That being said, it still has the same full battery for over 8 months now.

This fan might not be as powerful as the ones you plug in. But it still works amazing. I use it for camping in my roof top tent. On medium power the battery will last me 2 nights. Then I recharge it with my solar. Originally I had an issue with the charger not charging the battery. But I contacted the seller and they were able to help out in a very timely matter. Thanks a bunch.

Fan isn't as strong as I'd hoped. The misters don't mist well, tend to be very big drops soaking everything direcrly in front of it and not traveling very far. Tried to return it and they want to charge $80 for the return. Not worth it. Do not buy.

I bought two of these when I saw similar fans being used at my church. This is a good fan that puts out plenty of air, and the batteries will run for several hours at full speed. The build quality is great, and it is light weight and portable. These fans are great for working in the garden, going to the beach, and for picnics when you don't have power nearby. There are 2 big issues I have with this fan. Most importantly, Bilt Hard does not offer additional batteries, and currently there is no aftermarket alternative! It would be very nice to have extra batteries on charge, so when they run down, you could simply swap them. I asked questions on their web site and was directed to send an e-mail to their after sales support. While they replied within 24 hours, they pretty much told me to go pound sand on the extra batteries. Second issue I have with these fans is the misting functionality. It has to be connected to a garden hose, but the cheap plastic threads leak like a sieve, wastes water, and makes a mess. Also, the cheap plastic threads will bind up and become extremely difficult to unscrew from brass hose fittings. In all honesty, I suggest not spending the extra money on the misting functionality - It is way more trouble than it is worth. The fan itself is great for spending time outside in the summer, but Bilt Hard dropped the ball on extra or replacement batteries. I suppose once the batteries eventually wear down, they expect you to throw the fan in the trash and buy another. Shame on Bilt Hard!

I love this fan for our patio. The battery is easy to charge and we can enjoy our patio this summer. Great value!
