Apartment friendly OUTDOOR grill. Great Results, Easy Clean!
Purchased 20 inch grill/griddle to use OUTDOORS instead of a gas/charcoal unit. First voyage was...burgers. Of course! The entire grill plate was evenly pre-heated to 380 degrees. Unit has a countdown pre-heat display and chime when ready. Next, (room temp) 1/4 pound 80/20 chuck patties. 10 minute timer set, lid closed, and flipped at 5 minutes. The grill automatically shuts of when the timer is done. Added cheese slices to the patties, top of buns on the empty grill space and closed lid. In 5 extra minutes, the existing heat melted the cheese and finished the burgers to well done. The bun tops were nicley warmed. All in about 25 minutes. Perfect burgers, juicy and soft buns. Cleanup: After eating, and once the unit cooled, the plate is removeable and paper towel wipe for small remaining grease on plate and cheese drips. Then, easily wash-rinse-dry at sink. Cover is removeable at slight reverse tilt from fully open. Lift up. Also easy to wash at sink. Wiped off rest of grill with paper towel. Minimal grease splatter. Grease tray is plastic and should open slowly. Mine had very little grease from only 4 burger patties. Whole job was an easy wipe, rinse, clean in about 10 minutes. Ready for next adventure. Highly recommend for OUTDOOR cooking with electric. Burgers did make smoke emit from the top of the lid. It has ventalating holes for this purpose. I do not want my kitchen to have burger smoke smell for 4 hours after cooking. This grill solves that problem, and I can use outdoors. Less greasy meat should have very little smoke, if any. Sold my gas grill, and not looking back. New Ninja sits on a stainless steel microwave cart with wheels now. Perfect working height, and easy clean. Companian Ninja cook book inbound tomorrow ($15). Has tips and recipies for inspiration. I had a full-stainless Weber, and it was a pain to clean after every cook. Food sticks no matter what you do. They look pretty in the store, but real-life on the back deck is a different animal. No lugging a 30lb RV propane tank to the refill station either.

Makes a great gift.
Great kitchen appliance. I have had the smaller unit for some time and while I don't use it every day, it's one of those things that 'having the right tool' makes cooking some items a lot easier. When my daughter was visiting a few weeks ago, she used it to cook some tuna cakes. She loved the griddle option and I could tell it is something that she would use on a regular basis. So I bought her this model. She says she uses it at least 4 - 5 times a week ... does a lot of grilling on it and loves the griddle for things like pancakes, burgers and such. The only negative I cold mention is (as others have pointed out) sending the plates thru the dishwasher leaves the back of the plates kind of yucky ... that silver whatever it is transfers to anything that touches it and I wonder how much is spread thru the dishwasher. Washing by hand isn't that big of a deal and no having to mess with the silver stuff.

Great Indoor Grill!
I absolutely love this indoor grill! I’ve used it so many times. It’s very easy to use and clean. I love the interchangeable flat and grill plates it comes with. The food cooks with ease and there is no smoke when cooking. You can cook so many different things with this. Its made my cooking duties much easier and versatile. Excellent product!

OMG!!!
Wow wow wow! If I could give this 10 stars I would. I used it for the first time tonight…..smash burgers. I typically don’t care for hamburgers made inside the house as I prefer BBQ for the flavor. These smash burgers were amazing, crispy, great flavor, plain and simple… exceeded my expectations. The grill heats up fast cutting down cooking time. To cut down splatters on the stove, I placed the grill on a silicone mat and tea towel behind placing the Ninja directly underneath the hood vent. Although there was what I would consider steam not necessarily smoke coming through the vented Ninja lid, I do think the design of the lid could’ve been made a little bit better but overall works as intended. I’ve included a video so that you can see exactly the amount of steam/smoke it was putting out. These smash burgers were cooked at 375, I’m not sure why other reviews stated it set off the smoke alarm, again placing directly under a vent the little bit of smoke/steam went directly up. I did not find that it was smoking up my home at all. During the cooking process, I used a moist paper towel to wipe over the lid, this kept splatters down to a minimum and splatters cleaned up as cooking went along. It’s very lightweight, which makes moving it a breeze. After the cooking process was done I used a wet paper towel to clean the griddle and soak up any grease that had pooled, then a dry paper towel to pick up any remaining residue. One thing I did notice and it’s probably my stove that’s not level, but the grease never went into the drip tray. It had a tendency to go towards the back of the griddle plate and honestly, I don’t know if there would’ve been enough grease to force it to roll to the grease reservoir. Maybe it requires more grease. I was on the fence when ordering the Ninja as I had also purchased a Blackstone 17 inch E-series griddle. After comparing the two I did like the glass lid of the Blackstone griddle, but it was so large and three times the weight as the Ninja, not to mention that due to its size storing would’ve been another issue. Taking these things in a consideration it was an easy decision. The Blackstone will be returned. I got this on sale which makes it even better. It seems durable and will last for many years. Considering this is my first time using the Ninja indoor griddle I can see myself using this quite a bit for all types of things. I’m typically not a big fan of cooking, but this is definitely going to make it fun. 👍 I wanted to provide an update as I’ve now been using this product for 6+ months. I am shocked as to how much I have used this. I no longer feel the need to put a towel behind it or a silicone mat under it. I place it on the stove top or on the counter and have found that there is minimal to no grease splattering. I’ve cooked hamburgers, steaks, chicken, shrimp and salmon. I love how easy the griddle and grill plates are to clean. The lid is easily removed which allows you to clean it well under the faucet. For the most part any meat residue slides right off under the faucet. You still need to clean it with soap and water but it’s a breeze to clean. I now own two Ninja products and am a firm believer in the quality and ease of use. I truly thought I would use my outdoor 6 in 1 smoker grill more than the indoor grill, but find due to the extreme heat outside, the indoor grill is getting quite a bit of use. For someone that has not enjoyed cooking in the past I’m having a ball with this.

Don’t buy unless you have a real vent hood!
This was a good purchase. It is well built and not flimsy at all. There are a few things about it that’s not as advertised and I will go through those now. If you don’t have a real vent hood, don’t purchase this product. It creates a lot of smoke. Tons. We have a real vent hood and I still have to close the doors and open windows otherwise our smoke alarms start going off. Second the grill and flattop inserts are made out of aluminum coated with some type of ceramic (?) non stick coating so if you are trying to put grill marks on meat the meat immediately cools down the insert and your steak begins to steam at the recommended temperature of 350. However, cranking the heat up to 500 makes beautiful grill marks but also generates a lot of smoke. Any steaks less than 1” thick will overcook by the time proper grill marks are achieved. 500 degrees also works well for Vegetables, grilled bread or pizza. I have not tried to cook chicken or fish on this yet. Fish probably would be fine searing it hard and fast, but I’m going to imagine that you would need a hybrid approach for chicken or for those who like well done pork and beef. Get your grill marks on the meat and then finish cooking in the oven until your desired temperature is achieved. Cleaning can be a little bit difficult but I found a wooden spoon or spatula makes short work of the stuck on food particles without damaging the non stick coating. As I experiment more with this unit I will add to this review. I’m going to imagine that cooking breakfast items on this grill can be done at much lower temperatures and therefore generating less smoke but only time will tell. Overall I’m glad I bought this appliance. Ok. Lower temperatures for breakfast foods work fine. Just be patient with the hash browns. They take a LONG time. Also cook your bacon in your oven or on the stove as this will make breakfast happen faster. And you will have all that delicious bacon fat to cook with. Eggs. If your counter is perfectly level, then you will not need egg molds. If your countertop is not perfectly level you will need them. They are cheap and easy to use. And don’t bother scrambling eggs on this grill. What a disaster that was. Use your stove.

Fun to use!
I just got this in the mail today 8/18/2026. Cooked a very thick steak on it, it was delicious I am impressed. Very little smoke so yes it can be used inside. Cleanup was fast and easy. This will come in VERY handy this winter, kind of hard to grill when it's -1deg outside. Comes with a very clear instruction book for cooking all kids of foods.

My Oven is Having Withdrawals
I’ve been using the Ninja Sizzle almost daily since I got it, and I honestly regret not buying it sooner. It’s become my go-to for quick, high-heat meals and has basically replaced my oven for most weeknight cooking. Material: Feels solid and well-built with a durable nonstick cooking surface. It doesn’t feel cheap, and both the grill and griddle plates feel sturdy and high quality. Taste: Food comes out with a great sear and really rich flavor, especially steak, chicken, shrimp, fish, and burgers. You get that restaurant-style browning and char that’s usually hard to achieve indoors. Cooking time: Fast and efficient. Most full meals (protein + sides like potatoes or vegetables) are done in about 20 minutes. Steak in particular cooks in just a few minutes per side, which makes weeknight dinners so much easier. Appearance: Food looks amazing—nice browning, good color, and that “grilled or pan-seared on purpose” look that makes everything feel more like a restaurant meal. Portability: Compact enough for countertop use and easy to move or store when needed. Not really a travel appliance, but perfect for everyday kitchen use. Versatility: Extremely versatile. I’ve used it for steak, chicken, salmon, mahi-mahi, shrimp, ground beef, potatoes, corn, and vegetables. It handles everything from delicate seafood to high-heat searing without issue. Cleanup: This is one of my favorite parts—cleanup is a breeze. Even if food sticks a little, a quick soak of the grill or griddle plate with warm water for a few minutes and it basically wipes clean. For me, hand-cleaning is so easy it’s not even a downside. Overall: This has quickly become my most-used kitchen appliance. It heats fast, cooks evenly, and makes everyday meals taste like restaurant food with very little effort. I use it almost daily and would absolutely buy it again.

Best countertop grill I have owned.
I have owned this Ninja countertop grill for about two months now, using it at least twice a week, and it has easily become the best countertop grill I have ever owned. Before buying this, I tried a standard countertop griddle that suffered from terrible uneven heating. I also tried an electric Blackstone, but it completely failed to maintain its temperature or reach high enough cooking heat. Because my other Ninja appliances have always operated flawlessly, I decided to give this a chance, though I was still a bit wary about how it would actually perform once it arrived. It has exceeded my expectations. I have cooked a huge variety of foods on it—including steaks, chicken breasts, burgers, brats, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, and standard breakfast items. It handles everything beautifully. Unlike my previous grills, I have experienced absolutely zero issues with uneven heat or temperature drops. It maintains its heat perfectly.Cleanup & Maintenance:The cleanup is very manageable. The unit is somewhat bulky, but it comes apart completely, which makes washing it a breeze.Things to Keep in Mind (The Downsides):The Grease Tray: This is the only real downside for me. The tray is quite shallow and fills up quickly. If you aren't careful, it can easily lead to a mess when you try to remove it.Lid Splatter: The grill does tend to splatter a bit when you open the lid mid-cooking. However, as long as the lid is closed, the mess is completely contained, and the machine itself is easy to wipe down afterward.

Indoor grill
Wow, Ninja did it again. Beautiful, high heat grill with two plates. One if desire grill marks on your steak but also a flat plate for pancakes etc. or best of all, for indoor smash burgers! Works beautifully - crisps the patties as desired. Love this thing, live in a small open plan setting yet no problem with smoke on high heat and easy to clean. Do not regret this purchase and would purchase again. Large enough for a steak and a couple fruit/veg shish kobo's - could be a larger size available for larger family maybe but I'm happy.
