stila Calligraphy Long-Lasting Lip Stain Tint

I love this product. I have mature lips and i can control the natural color bleeding that happens with older lips. It stays and it is a lot less drying than other stains I've had. It is awesome but you have to keep your lips exfoliated and moisturized in order to go on evenly. I wear chapstick over mine. The color is slightly brighter than the swatches although it does fade in a little bit (I have four and this applies to all). The stain is a little shocking at first until it dries but it really is a pretty look. I just ordered the lightest color to see what its like since it looks like nothing and i will review it. I paid a lot for Kat V stain and this is way easier to use and less drying.

Easy to apply, wears well but this particular color was not really for me, but I plan to purchase a mauve color to fit me better.

I was really excited to use this product after its release. The applicator was easy to use and the shape made filling and defining my lips simple. The color was a perfect neutral bold red (not too pink in undertones) and the application of the stain was even. The stain does not have a weird taste or burning sensation like some stains do. Unfortunately, this formula has zero staying power and does not last at all. I even tried exfoliating and giving it about twenty minutes of dry-down time. It will not stay on my lips.

When I apply it, it’s really bright colored but then it wears off after a short amount of time. And it dries my lips out. Maybe I chose the wrong color for me, but because it wears off and dries out my lips, I won’t buy it again. Would love to find a lip stain that lasts longer

This is super easy to apply and I like the spongy tip. Only wish it lasted longer. Seems to wear off when I eat. But overall -- great color and love the applicator.

I love using these as a natural looking lip liner I can wear with lip gloss. It lasts all day. The more layers you put on, the darker it looks. I like to set it with setting spray then translucent powder. The swatches they show on the wrists aren’t as accurate as the swatches they show actually applied on the models lips. The brown shade I got looked a bit more orange irl so they are not as neutral colored/cool- it’s still brown though !

This lip stain does last a long time, but at the price of all moisture that once resided in your lips. Also, don't count on the pigment lasting longest on the parts you want it. Instead it will mostly last around the sides and you will have to make the hard choice of walking around with lipliner lips or reapplying and starting the cycle all over again. Additionally, the one I ordered was a pretty color, but not the color it advertised itself as.

I will be so sad if they ever discontinue this lip stain because it is truly the best. You MUST ensure your lips are not chapped though or it goes on very unevenly. I just exfoliate my lips with one of the pre self tanner exfoliation gloves before applying mine to ensure it goes on smoothly. I am 33 and I have thin lips, but this actually makes it look like I have SOMETHING and is better than 4 other lip stains I’ve tried. When I store it, I store it upside down like as if I was about to use it as a writing instrument to keep the pigment at the tip. This makes it last so much longer!

I love this product. A little goes a longggg way. I like to line my lips and then immediately smudge it out. Lasts much longer than conventional lip liner and also stays on much longer.

This is a GREAT matt lip stain that lasts for hours and doesn't bleed. However, the colour choices are woefully inadequate and the colour I chose online was waaaay pinker than I wanted, so it it sadly returned. Stila, please come up with some less disco colours!

Omg this colour is stunning it stays on so nicely and the wear off isn’t weird an patchy. I love the thinness of the edge, helps fill in the feathering of the edges of my lips that has happens with age. A bit of what ever you want on top and stunning.
