5GHz Smart Plug 15A WiFi Outlet Works with Alexa & Google, 4 Packs

This is my second box of these, they are the best for easy installation, smooth operation and longevity. I use Smart life and that is partnered with Alexa. It literally takes 1 minute to be hooked up and be fully functional. Just plug this product in an outlet and open Smart life, it hooks up automatically. Change the name to what you want and give Alexa a little bit and it will be in there also, best easy Smart plugs I have ever used. I needed more for Christmas lights around the house. Definitely would buy again and highly recommended.

My internet provider recently upgraded me to a new router, which is technically a much better model, but the new model operates on a 'random' 2.4 or 5 Ghz frequency. According to my provider, it 'automatically detects when to switch between the 2.4 and 5'. I find this somewhat interesting, as I always believed the difference between the two is that 2.4 is slower speed but much better range, 5 is super fast, but shorter distance. How on earth is the router going to know when I need to switch between those two? I have a relatively large property , I'm not a real high-speed junky and therefore prefer 2.4, so I can connect devices at a bigger distance. But maybe it will all work in the end. Problem I have though... is that most of my smart plugs are only capable of working on the 2.4 bandwidth. And as the default preferred mode of the new router seems to be 5Ghz, I simply cannot connect them anymore, as there is no way to 'fix' the bandwidth anymore. This is where these 'Eightree Smart Plug for 5GHz & 2.4GH' come in. After a bit of research, I learned that a lot of 'similar' (and cheaper!) plugs don't actually use WiFi, but Bluetooth. Which is great for short distances. But average bluetooth range is somewhere around 33 feet. Not a lot, especially if you factor in walls and other obstructions. And certainly not enough for my situation. So if you're looking for a true WiFi option, there's just not that many options out there, unless you want to invest serious money. But these plugs are true Wifi, can handle both 2.4 and 5 Ghz and are really not that expensive. One more selling point: ease of installation. Wow. Really wow. Maybe it's because I already had the Smart Life app installed (and am very familiar with how it works). But all I had to do: 1) Plug in the smart plug into an outlet 2) Open up the Smart Life app 3) Confirm the new device. The app and plug automatically recognized each other without any interaction from me. Love these plugs. Defo recco to buy. Now I just would love for 5Ghz to extend its range!! Come on clever folks out there, you can do this! :-)

To easy to set up , I have the smart app and I plugged it in and I didn’t have to sync it up it did it all by itself.

I purchased a pack of these to work with my combination wireless router. My old ones would not connect but these connect like a dream and they work really well on 5G wireless

Had the old 2.4ghz plugs and had to upgrade cause it was such a pain to setup with new locations each time messing with my ISP settings. These worked out of the box, easy setup, no complaints. Connectivity with Alexa worked smoothly, I'm sure would do the same with Google. Great product.
