I have used the plastic connector before, which did not work quite well. Of course the plastic one was cheaper, but again, does not work quite well. This one is different. It is strong, and actually working. It is better to buy the metal one instead of cheaper plastic ones.

I have a Snap On air hose, but it was older. I decided to fix it. I bought this instead of going to Harbor Freights and buying their repair kit. The repair kit only has one brass barbed fitting to connect and splice a broken hose. For around the same price, Amazon sells three of them with the clamps. The HF one does include a fixed end, but for me, I typically have air leaks on the hose and not the end. I found out that my hose is so messed up, it is not even worth fixing (I sprung a leak elsewhere). HF has a 25 ft. all rubber house for $15. But I am still happy I have this repair kit for future usage. I was not too happy with the clamps, I noticed two of them would just not tighten, they just kept spinning. But again, for the price, I am still very happy. Still a good quality repair kit. Just one brass fitting would be $5 each at Home Depot, Menards, etc. Here you get three fittings and 6 clamps. Great deal!

Worked well repairing my soaker hoses

The BlingKingdom 3/8" hose repair kit worked better than I expected. The brass connectors feel sturdy, thread cleanly, and create a tight seal once clamped down. I used them to fix a couple of garden hoses, and both repairs held up without any leaks. The only minor downside is that the clamps included aren’t quite as heavy‑duty as the connectors themselves, but they still work fine if you tighten them properly. For quick, inexpensive hose repairs, this set is a reliable option.

Perfect fit great quality

I wish I can get this bus 6 star. I fixed my retractable hose in less than 10 minutes. It works perfectly. Previously I have thrown away three expensive 1/2-in hoses with 3/8 inner expandable tubes that cost a lot of money. I threw them away because the cheap Chinese plastic repair kits just don't work. You can spend an hour trying to fix a hose only to find it still leaks. A couple of tips. While the hose is running, determine the exact spot where the leak is. Fully deflate the hose and put a clamp 10 in to each side so that the outer sheath can't slip away. Make sure to put your clamps over the outer sheath before you do the repair. Put a little oil on the brass fitting before you insert makes it much easier. Insert your tube over the brass fitting. Pull the fabric tight. Put the clamp on over the brass and it will be waterproof and the hose will still stretch.

Brass coupling fitting is good, hose clamps aren’t so good. If tightened they come apart. Perhaps on a different hose but definitely weren’t good for me.

I thought it was going to hard to repair hoses. Actually it really easy to install. Perfect fit with no leaks. It has allowed me to use old soaker hose that I thought I would have to throw away.
