Excellent value, and the mint dentisticks are the only ones that my elderly Carpathian Shepherd crossbreed will eat. Having had one for the first time in 11 years, soon after we rescued him, he has made it clear that he prefers the mint ones. Usually this variety are the more expensive in that the plain variety are often discounted in supermarkets, so this Amazon product really is excellent value. I will be buying more, as it is a great saving buying them this way.

My elderly dogs love these at a great at bedtimr, but it doesn't work on the the front teeth. Dogs chew with the large cutting thing teeth at the back known as Carnassials, not the front sometimes they will occasionally bite a piece off with their incisors, but that is rare.

Our GSD loves this once a day. I bought the large one. He loves the taste and keeps mouth fresh. Always have a pack in the house.

I am sure that this product would do most dogs a power of good. Mine---? not sure because he literally breaks them in half and swallows each half whole. His teeth and jaw don't get much exercise or cleaned but his digestive system probably does which has to be a good bi-product.

My mini poodles love Dentastix, they definitely see them as a treat and you need to make sure you don't overfeed because they are high in calories. I think the Fresh ones do seem to make their breath a little bit better than the original variety (I do attempt to brush their teeth as well but it's not an easy task!).

I clean my dogs teeth every night and he gets one of these as an assistant treat so that he puts up with me shoving a brush in his mouth. I wouldn't trust to these for the only source of teeth cleaning. Mostly, because they are soft and gone with just a few bites - this is hardly likely to do much to remove tartar. I can't see how this can "remove up to 80% tartar" - I'd like to know where they came up with that figure! My dogs teeth are in a very good condition, but I can't give all the credit to these. They probably help a little and if you have a dog that will not co-operate, then I guess they are better than nothing. As for the fresh breath claims; my dog never had bad breath to start with so I can't really say it is rubbish, but I can say my dogs breath isn't any fresher than when I used the standard Dentastix. I only switched over to these ones because at the time they were a little cheaper than the standard ones.
