How many balls do I need for an adult blanket?

6-8 skeins I think, I am making a lg baby blanket and using 3, and may Need to get a 4th. Basically depends on how big you want it. Also the stitch, I'm using single crochet.

Does this feel the same as the bernat blanket?

It honestly depends on the dye lot you get. I ordered this in the baby sand color twice, the first one was super plush like a baby blanket. The second one was more textured feeling like the regular blanket yarn.
