I applied this product one time on the top of my head near my forehead where I have some hair thinning going on. It made my hair look extremely dull and rather "sticky". If I washed my hair everyday or two, that would be ok, but I only wash my hair once a week and I can only imagine how bad the buildup would be. It's too bad it can't be returned. The directions say apply only to scalp and not hair, but it would be impossible to rub it into your scalp without some getting on your hair.

This works for regrowth of hair. I started using the name brand several years ago because my hairline had visibly receded and my hair was thinning out a lot. I only used it where I had hair loss. It took about 1 full year for my hair to regrow and my hairline is now back where it was. As soon as I stopped using it, my hair loss returned. So I kept it up. I have used other products over the two years since then. Of them all, this brand has had the best results and a reasonable price compared to other brands including the original brand. They all have the same issues. Foam settles in a can so I give it a shake every time before I use it. The cap is difficult to get off and back on and you need a delicate touch to get only a half capful (it expands as soon as you press the nozzle). I part my hair, put a little on my fingers, and rub it in a bit so that it gets on the scalp. It is foam so it always gets in the hair and makes it feel stiff (like a hairspray stiffness). I do it before my workout and wash my hair after my workout. Now, I use it roughly every other day and it continues to work. This is for growing back hair you lost. It does that. It does not thicken your hair or prevent hair loss from anywhere you did not apply it on your scalp. It does not add hair where you never had any but it does prevent bald spots and receding hair lines. ...I do wish they would change that cap!
