After installed a new m.2 ssd, you should format and partition it before use. You can use "Disk Management Tool" to format and partition the ssd, and then find it in Windows Explorer.

2. Are the read & write speeds of fanxiang S660 Nvme SSD truly as advertised?

Yes. The read & write speeds are as advertised when it connected to the PCIe Gen 4x4 interface. If you connect it to PCIe Gen 3x4 interface, the speed will be limited to about 3500MB/s.

3. Why the usable capacity of the ssd that displays on a computer is less than its actual capacity?

It is because different algorithm was adopted. Factory adopts Decimal. 1GB=1000MB=1000000KB. Computer system adopts Binary.1GB=1024MB=1048576KB. After tested, there is about 7% less if displays on a computer.

4. Does the S660 m.2 ssd 1tb work on a ps5?

Very easy to install just plug tighten and your set mine came in at 4996mbps transfer games fast and loading times are faster for those transfered games well worth it just a shame ssd prices are so bad these days

Seems to be a great piece of kit. Large storage at a good price. Did not realise it was aimed for playstation 5's but fits into my pc mother board just fine. Very happy with this.

Would recommend the fanxiang M2 2tb. For sure.

The memory is pretty good on these fanxiang 2tb with up to 5000mb speed. I tested it on pc and PlayStation and it functions on both of them really well. Only time will tell though how reliable it is but so far so good. Performance and load speed is excellent for price. They seem like great quality and build aswell. The durability seems good. But it takes time to see if there is any real issues. So will test them. But definitly would recommend them so far for what is offered. Definitly worth the purchase.

Great price for extra PS5 storage

Very nice SSD extra 2tb for PS5 Slim Will update on longevity or if any issues arise. Also for those who say it doesn't fit, yes it does you just haven't clicked it in properly, as I initially thought the same. But after pushing it in again you'll feel a slight click as it seats into the socket which then aligns to the screw hole to secure. Performance Read speed was 5120 Transferred 700gb in under 7 Minutes Lets hope it lasts it seems well built. Mine came already built with cooler which saved me the hassle of having to do it myself.

Works seamlessly with PS5, very easy to install genuinely took about 10 minutes, since games are getting bigger it may be worth going over 1TB as I find myself now having to delete some games to make space for others.

Bought the 2TB variant for £72 for my PS5! I bought it after reading the reviews and I could see everyone complaining about lack of detailed instructions and that is true! So below is everything you wanna know: Features: • Works very well with PS5 • PS5 read test - 4700 • easy to install In the box • SSD • Heat Sink (Bottom and top) • 4 Thermal Pads (2 slim and 2 thick) • Screw and a screw driver Installation steps 1. Stick one "thick" thermal pad to the bottom heat sink by peeling the sticker 2. Remove the sticker from the other side and place the SSD with the chip facing upwards, ensure that both ends of the chip leak out of the heat sink equally 3. Now stick one "slim" thermal pad to the top heat sink by removing the stickers 4. Sandwich the top heat sink by locking one end of the heat sink and then pressing it to lock the other end, you will hear a click (if you use two thick thermal pads you will not be able to perfectly squeeze it and may damage the SSD) 5. Plug it to the PS5 and tighten it with the screw already inside the PS5 Just ensure that you are using the thick thermal pad at the bottom and the slim thermal pad to the top and you will be good Not sure on the longevity of this SSD but for now its good. Enjoy the extra space! **UPDATE after 5 months - No issues so far also fun fact the SSD is faster than the in-built SSD**

I was a bit worried when I ordered the SSD, I know about a lot of scams but even I can be scammed. When I saw the price and how big the storage was a bit off from buying it but I took a chance and was amazed. Well worth the money. And definitely not a scam. Good quality, formats in a ps5 without any trouble, the transfer speed is good too.

Die Fanxiang S660 SSD hat mich von Anfang an überzeugt. Wie von Amazon gewohnt, kam das Produkt schnell und sicher verpackt an. Bereits beim Auspacken hinterlässt die SSD einen hochwertigen Eindruck – das schlichte, aber robuste Design mit integriertem Kühlkörper macht direkt einen soliden Eindruck. Leistung und Alltagserfahrung Nach der Installation wurde die SSD sofort erkannt und ließ sich problemlos einrichten. Mein Betriebssystem Windows 11 läuft spürbar schnell und flüssig auf der SSD. Bootzeiten sind extrem kurz, Programme öffnen sich nahezu verzögerungsfrei, und selbst große Dateien werden schnell verarbeitet. Dank PCIe 4.0-Unterstützung liefert die SSD hohe Geschwindigkeiten, die sich besonders bei Ladezeiten von Spielen und beim Transfer großer Datenmengen bemerkbar machen.
