Hulk Vs. Wolverine Vs. Thor [DVD]

Just a Marvel money spinner
I found this double header very dull. Whoever commissioned these two short films knew full well that all they had to do was throw 'VS' in the title and people will flock to watch it ....... including me. However, this shouldn't be at the expense of story of which there is very little. Of the two I think vs Thor holds up better. The story is more fleshed out and provides interesting details about the 9 realms, the Odin sleep, etc. It's unfortunate that the title is 'Hulk vs' and yet provides no Hulk story in either film. The films are Thor and Wolverine films respectively that just happen to have Hulk in them. Again, this is cynical marketing as everyone wants to know how the Hulk could possibly be defeated. Spoiler alert: that question doesn't really get answered, particularly in 'vs Wolverine.'The character voice acting is good and is well cast.As expected there is a lot of crashing and bashing which then escalates into what I can only describe as extreme graphic violence in 'vs Wolverine.' This lives up to its 13 rating. By far, this is the most violent iteration of a Marvel animation I have seen.In summary, unless you're a Marvel purist you could well avoid this ....... you're not missing much.

Short film would be more apt
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed both episodes, yes episodes not movies, good production and animation and in the case of Hulk v wolverine quite an amusing script. They were very good for what they are...more grown up versions of the TV series, I liked that. But they are marketed as movies and they aren't. They don't even reach the 40 min mark, and this seriously impacts on what they could have been, to much violence crammed into short a time means the actual stories are almost irrelevant and this I feel is a tragic waste of an opportunity. I honestly thought when wolverine vs hulk finished I had missed something on the DVD menu and part 2 would follow the credits imagine my disappointment when I realized that was it.So two stars for misleading advertising (if they had been actual movies it would have been 5 out of 5). So you have been warned/informed if the the length of the films isn't an issue for you then I think you might well enjoy them.

Different Stories
I collect DVDs that cover a variety of genres & this is a fantastic children's cartoon film, even if the cover title is misleading - it implies it's the Hulk Vs Wolverine Vs Thor where - in fact - it's two different stories, Hulk Vs Wolverine & Hulk Vs Thor.

Great for Hulk fans. Well ...half of it is
I bought the Hulk vs. set on a recommendation from a friend. I've been a Hulk fan since I was young and I've been wanting more Marvel since the Avengers, so I threw caution to the wind and picked this upThe star of this is, without a doubt, vs. Wolverine. Although the plot is a little drawn out and focuses less on Hulk than Wolverine, it's by far a more enjoyable and worthwhile watch than vs. Thor. The fights are great, a lot more vicious than I expected them to be too, the dialogue isn't bad and Deadpool fans will get a kick out of the Merc with the Mouth being featured.vs. Thor is difficult to place a 'good' reason on why I don't like it as much. Personally, it comes down to not being a Thor fan, and I don't know any to say whether it's good to Thor fans!Across both films, the animation is 'okay', in line quality wise with a Saturday morning cartoon. A lot of static poses with mouth movements and kind of flat lighting and shade (Bar a sequence or two in vs. Wolverine). Character designs aren't bad either, though I feel the style is more noteworthy in vs. Wolverine, particularly Hulk himselfOverall, I feel it's worth grabbing to watch vs. Wolverine alone. Thor fans may find something they like in vs. Thor, though I can't speak for you guys. Grab it while you wait for the next big screen Marvel film, it'll tide you over :3

great battle and fight scenes
I watched these short films some time ago and was impressed enough to know I wanted to add them in my DVD collection. Finally got around to it and was glad for the addition. These are only short films, approximately 40 minutes each, but I highly enjoy each one of them. I have to admit as well I enjoyed the Wolverine episode more than the Thor one. The Thor aspect is still great, but if I had to choose one it would be the Wolverine aspect. I say this for the sole purpose that it was good to see this aspect of Wolverine, especially when he was hacking and slashing the Hulk and fighting against the members of Weapon X. I was thrilled by the whole experience and know I can watch it again and still be entertained.

Hulk Vs Wolverine Vs Thor
This is a must have for any marvel fan! Not only do you get 2 great films for the price of one but you also get some good extras. The 2 stories as you might have guessed are Hulk Vs Wolverine and Hulk Vs Thor.Hulk Vs Wolverine is great. You get to watch the Hulk and Wolverine fight it out which I know has been a bit of a debate for true marvel fans. Who would win in a fight against the Hulk and Wolverine? Well watch it and find out!Nolan North does a great job voicing Deadpool. I was laughing throughout Deadpools parts during the film. The extras are good as you get to see how the film was made and voiced by some great actors.Hulk Vs Thor is a great story as well. If your unfamilar with Thor then this is a great introduction to him and his world. The fight scenes are pretty good and you can feel the power of the Hulk as he unleashes his fury over Asgard.Im not going to give everything away but I do believe that if your a marvel fan or you know someone who is then this dvd is a must for them.
