Great value for the kit. Highly recommend!!
This is a great kit! I’ve found the ice pack to be the perfect size and molds around my hip to accommodate the area post surgery. And the grabber tool is great. Even picks up paper!!

Handy, every piece!
My cousin had a hip replaced, and it really DOES limit the ways she can bend and move, like bend at the hip & knee & bring the foot up to put on a sock- not happening. Inconvenient to say the least, but these sturdy helpers make it a little easier. They're lightweight & easy to maneuver.

Nice for the price
Nice kit I bought for post total hip replacement, but individually purchased items of higher quality were more useful than some of the cheaper versions in this kit. The ice pack was nice; you will want more than one after surgery, but I also received a larger, more durable one that was more practical. The reachers and grabbers are great, I just never seem to have one when I am in the room where I drop something. My dogs both appreciated the back scratcher. The sock assist was very useful for putting on those pesky compression socks yourself. Leg lift assist was less practical. It lacks a wire core to hold its shape when you are trying to loop the leg that needs assistance. Overall, it wasn't a bad deal, but if you can spend the money, buy the better quality leg lifter and ice pack.

Handy after hip surgery, but it's also handy well after that!
You don't have to be on hip precautions (like I used to be after surgery) to need this. Yes, this is great for those who aren't supposed to bend over after a recent hip surgery, but you can have two perfectly good hips and still need this. Ever had something fall into a narrow space, like between your refrigerator and lower cabinets? Sure, you can bend over, but can you even get your hand and arm into that space? This is where this thin grabber comes in handy. Another example is when a sock or other clothing item falls behind the dryer. This grabber can help you retrieve the item without moving the dryer. If you needed this to use after surgery, don't put it away with the cane and walker you may have also used but no longer need. Everyone needs one of these reachers/grabbers to get in a tight spot you couldn't otherwise get to. Having a couple of these is even better so you have one in another room in your home.

Essential for hip surgery recovery
Great kit of essentials you will definitely want if you’re having hip surgery. This has been so helpful while I’m recovering from hip arthroscopy. Especially the grabber! Note on the ice pack — I’ve got some thick thighs and so the strap for around the top of the thigh is a bit tight. The strap for my waist is fine though.

Definitely improved over the previous model
I have the previous version of this grabber, in which the "trigger" is integrated into the handle. I was concerned that the "trigger" (as I am calling it) of this grabber might break, since it is sticking out away from the handle, but it feels very sturdy. The overall action of this grabber is easier than the previous model, and more positive. The previous model of this grabber squeaks, requires more grip strength, and doesn't pick up bottles well. This grabber excels in all those areas. Grabbers are only meant for picking up light items. If you try to pick up something too heavy, a grabber might break. I have back problems which make it painful to bend over, and my grabbers are saving me a lot of pain. My only concern is that they are made of plastic, which is bad for the environment. If I still have 5 stars up, it is still working well for me. If something goes wrong with it, I will rewrite this review.

Best Gift For Pregnant Ladies!
I got one of these for myself when I was 8 months pregnant and it was a GAME CHANGER!! I no longer had to get on the floor to clean up my kids toys, and cleaning would go by so much faster too! When I had an emergency c-section, it helped tremendously with picking up things around the house and grabbing stuff that was just out of reach. I thought I would stop using it after that, but I was so wrong! It’s become a normal staple in helping me clean up and tidy my house, because it makes it go by ten times as fast. I now have two of them in different places of my house so that there is always one when I need it! I have now also gifted it to many expecting mothers and at first it’s a funny joke and gets a laugh out of everyone…but then every time I get a text saying that they love this grabber and how much it helps! I love this specific grabber because it has help together really well and it picks up really tiny items! To sum it up, get this grabber for yourself and get it as a gift for an expecting mother.
