Used this for my son's extra boomwhackers and it's a perfect backup to those mallets! Worked really well with the steel pan too and sounded great!

Mallets are good for what I wanted. They are very muted…. These are not performance mallets!! I am using them for a set of cymbells. Ideal for practicing at night when the kids are sleeping! I misjudged length and ended up buying a wood dowel and replacing the included plastic sticks with wood ones at a longer length. The top came off and transferred very easily.

These play well, but the balls come off easily making them a choking hazard for kids.

The standard mallets were too long and unwieldly for a small child. These fit him perfectly. In addition, having rubber heads, the sound is muted compared to solid heads. This, with a two year-old, is a blessing!
