Made showering possible
Should have ordered before the surgery so I would have for first shower. Had multiple rotator cuff tears repaired. This goody makes taking a shower alone possible! Only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have way to keep the elbow in (I am using a binder clip at the top at the moment). The thumb piece is okay but the elbow still slides to the front. This was a life saver for me. Fits well, pretty adjustable, dries quickly, great value.

Did the Job During a Tough Recovery
I broke my left arm and shoulder and had to wear a sling for 8 weeks. I needed something breathable for the heat and also safe to use in the shower—this sling delivered. It was lightweight, comfortable, and held up well through daily wear. Not the most luxurious, but it did exactly what I needed it to do during a really difficult time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a no-fuss, reliable option.

Works as described.
Took my first shower after humerus surgery and this sling was great. The strap is a little long for me, but very adjustable. It provided the support I needed and shed the water with no problems…plus it was inexpensive.

Great price. Easy to use.
This sling is great for taking a shower which was recommended by my orthopedic surgeon. It has a strap that is long that will fit just about anyone. It feels sturdy and is easy to adjust.

Great sling for the shower, fits well, easily adjustable and dries quickly
I had shoulder surgery and this sling was a lifesaver for being able to take a shower. It worked very well and it dried very quickly. I would recommend this item

Very secure but somewhat cumbersome and uncomfortable
I recently had surgery on my arm. Two of the restrictions were to not get the incision site wet for the first two weeks, and to not allow my arm to fully extend (IE keep it bent).Once I was given the OK by my surgeon to shower, I bought this sling so that I could support my arm.Right away, I can tell you that the sling works but is a bit cumbersome to wear. It covers a lot of the arm, which makes washing it difficult. It also isn't very comfortable. My arm will be swollen and sensitive for the next few weeks, and the mesh doesn't feel very good on it. I tried using it once and decided to go a different route. The best solution I got was from my surgeon. She gave me a few long rolls of gauze and told me to make a simple, makeshift sling for my arm. You take a length of gauze, tie both ends together to make a loop, put it around the back of your neck, and loop it a couple of times around your wrist. It holds the arm immobile enough to keep it from getting injured, but it leaves most of it uncovered so that you can wash it. It's also WAY more comfortable, at least for me. Definitely not as secure, but in my case I don't need the extra support.I prefer to have my arm more exposed in the shower. Because I wore a wound dressing and Ace bandages on my arm for two weeks after my surgery, the skin was quite dry and still covered with pre-op iodine solution. It took several days of light scrubbing with a loofah to get rid of all of it and to remove the dead, itchy skin. With the mesh sling in place, I could rinse my arm with water but not really wash it. Once I went to the gauze sling, I had full access to my arm and was able to really clean it and apply lotion to soothe my dry skin. It feels normal again.I'm glad I tried this sling and I will keep it with my first aid supplies in case something happens in the future. I hope I never have to use it-- I'm about as sick of surgery as anyone can be-- but it's useful to keep around just in case. It definitely has its place if you need to securely immobilize your arm while you shower or bathe, or perhaps in a field first aid kit if you have the room. However, if your arm only needs moderate support, you might be better off with a makeshift sling that exposes your arm more and makes cleaning it easier. It's actually a pretty good sling, but I'm docking it two stars mostly so that anyone looking to buy it will consider what kind of arm support they really need before making a purchase.

Great mesh sling!
My husband had rotator cuff surgery about a month ago. He has the "big block" type sling that he wears all the time (it's his new best friend!), but we wanted something for him to use in the shower to feel more secure (instead of his arm hanging free-form style). We bought this mesh sling, and it has been wonderful. On the day after surgery PT visit (where he got his big bandage taken off), we told the therapist we bought this one, and she said this would be great for the shower. She suggested him hold an empty 2-liter bottle in between his arm and belly - works like a charm. We've been using it every day for a month and it's holding up very well. Highly recommend!

Can’t work this thing. No Velcro received.
*Update* Seller reached out & made this right. Although product didn’t work for me, I still highly recommend the seller *How on earth does this even work? I can’t figure out how this stupid strap works (pics attached). No instructions. No Velcro received. Just straps that don’t make sense. People are supposed to be able to figure this out & use it post surgery? Absolutely not. Waste of $$. Had to buy another one. Stay far away from this product.
