WC Freeze PC38X - Cooling Gel Earpads for Sennheiser PC38X, PC37X & HD599

If you need a replacement for your HD560 especially if your earpads are just completely worn than I recommend it, it feels nice (a little stiff at first but gets comfortable over time) Quality doesn't feel cheap, and hasn't ripped on me yet (wish me luck for another couple years with these). Though I can't tell if it effected the audio quality but that could just be me being used to worn earpads.

Add to the compatibility list the PC350-SE (second edition? special edition?). Had to use the back-side of my utility knife to pry the old worn out pad ring which was a little tricky, but the new ones just press-fit in place and it was a very easy install. First the bad: These are gell based ear pads, and not foam, so it takes a while for them to adapt to your head and don't simply 'press fit' like the standard foam pads do. Maybe after a week or so it will have some memory, but so far it pinches on top and is open on bottom for the first 20-30 minutes of wearing them and slowly closes up. they then return to shape after you take them off, and go through it all again the next time you put them on. Minor annoyance, but not a deal-breaker, and will be less of an issue if your particular headset presses on your head more than the PC350 do (which, they don't at all). The mixed: -The shape of the pads isn't the same as stock either... the ring is skinnier, which is good, and lets my big oaf ears fit inside of the ring better than stock. But they are also thicker/deeper than stock, which I think is why the fit is weird for the first while that you put them on until everything seals up and adjusts. -The PC350 in particular is an entry level 'reference' set of headphones, which means a very flat response curve. When I bought them I still did some audio mixing and editing, and really appreciated the flat response for editing. Because these pads do not breathe, it gives them a lot more 'presence' and bass response than the stock pads ever did. As a consumer listening to music and playing games and watching movies, this is kind of a plus. But if I was still editing this would be a deal breaker. So just buy understanding that it changes the response curve quite a lot, and you will need to make some adjustments if you still want a 'flat' experience. -Calling these 'cooling' is a bit of a laugh. If your paricular headset is open-backed, then yes, these will offer a cooler feel. Mine is closed-backed, which means that all of the heat and humidity my meat-head produces is just trapped and sealed in where the original foam pads could breathe. In my nice cool basement during winter this won't be an issue and it keeps my ears much warmer and more comfortable than the old pads... but I can already tell this will be a much different experience during the summer months. Again, won't be an issue for those with cooler heads, or don't wear headphones for multiple hours, or have open backs that allow things to breathe.... but closed backs with warm heads... yeah... it's absolutely a hotter experience rather than cooler once they warm up. -Related to the other points, these seal and dampen outside noises much better than the stock pads. Unfortunately for me in particular, this means leaving one ear off half the time to keep an ear in reality most of the day, where before that wasn't a concern. Again, mixed; A problem for me personally most of the time, but when watching a movie the added isolation is a major benefit. Your milage may vary. The good: They were not expensive, and cheaper than stock replacements at the time of purchase The install was literally 'a snap' Shipping came 1 day earlier than quoted After they adjust to your head, they are more comfortable than stock (other than the added heat), and they shake less on the head which means I might be able to use them with my VR headset which wouldn't have worked with the stock pads. A great affordable way to get a little more time out of what was once a $250 headset. Compared to getting a direct replacement for ~$350+ for something equivalent, I appreciate being able to put that purchase off a while longer with everything else in life right now.

Hd 560S. Perfect fit. Pads are a lil deeper than stock which was what AI wanted. 560s pads are quite shallow and my ears touched inside of cups. I have small ears too. These are just like all my other WC pads. The memory gel is very comfy and soft. These seem to have added a touch of bass and cut down the highs a tad ... Perfect for the hd560s. Very happy!

Cushion was a great fit. The sound signature was generally retained if not better (to my ears). Comfortable as these pads rest around the ear and far enough not to touch the ear. Cooling worked wonders for intense gaming sessions

I decided to give these a shot. For me, the clamping force and pressure was just a bit annoying on the PC38x to my ears. These earpads reduce the pressure it puts on my head and the cooling gel actually works pretty great. It only last for aound 10 minutes but once you remove the headset and come back after some time, they will usually be chilled again. Like others have noted, these will alter the sound signature quite a bit. The comfort is great so if that is your primary concern then these will be excellent - atleast to my ears. I did ultimately prefer the stock pre-installed earpads sound signature more. These pads essentially elevate the lower end and add a bit of mudd and darker sound quality to the mix. This made the sound signature have much more low end but also a more fuller sound with some of the high end loosing some sparkle. I attempted to EQ some bass out of the sound but it still retained the fullness. Also, since the earpads are wider than stock, this will give you a slightly wider soundstage since the headphone drivers will be further from your ears (I actually liked this effect a lot). Overall if you don't mind the change in sound signature, the comfort is great and the cooling gel is a nice touch that will last for maybe 10 minutes after you put the headphones on. I hope WC will make the same sized earpad but with a similar material to what the stock pads offer as I think it is a better sound signature. If you have the option to do some EQ with a dac/amp, I recommend taking some of the bass out and perhaps lifting treble/clarity as these also put a veil over the overall detail/resolution of sound.

I purchased from Wicked Cushions for a different Sennheiser headset in the past and those worked well, so I decided to try them again. This time, I have the Sennheiser G4ME Zero (GAME Zero) headset and the original earpads were deteriorating and in need of replacement. While the Wicked Cushion replacement earpads were listed to support this headset and they were easy to replace on the headset, unfortunately, due to the thickness and stiffness of the pads, the headset does not sit well on my face. When wearing the headset, the thickness of these earpads cause the headset to flare out a bit on the bottom, and the earpads are no longer able to lay on my face well. As a result, this causes the headset to no longer have that "closed" design that it is known for. I am hoping, that I can mold the earpads to allow the headset to sit flush with my face and eventually give me the closed audio experience like the original earpads gave. The cooling gel works for the first few minutes, but once the gel adjusts to the temperature of your face, it's no longer considered cooling.

Been using these for about a year and they’re still in like new shape. Great quality, easy installation, no complaints.

Perfect fit for my Sennheiser Game One headset, and so much more plush and comfortable than my old worn out earpads. Love that these have a cooling effect when you wear them. Thank you for making these. - Derrick
