Durable and powerful
I've had this vacuum for about 2 years now. This has lasted longer than any other vacuum I've ever had. I have 4 kids, 2 dogs (one a golden retriever), and a husband; so the messes dust and hair are thick. I love the super long cord so I don't have to keep runplugging. I love that I don't have to buy bags. Easy to change filter, and take apart if something gets stuck. Cons: hose is pretty short and stiff and doesn't reach ceilings. The two in one brush tool doesn't stay locked and will rotate while I'm using it. Bucket is a little bit hard to align and there aren't clear markings to indicate which way it goes. Overall I am verysatisfied with this vacuum based on power and durability. I would definitely recommend this if you need some basic, that can handle tons of hair and dust and won't get clogged.

Excellent, hard working, good performing vacuum cleaner.
I have the consumer/residential version of this cleaner that I have used for over a decade. It still works okay, but is getting worn. I've replaced the brush roller once and the drive belt a couple of times. I wanted a fresh replacement. Bissell no longer makes my old model, but this commercial version fit the bill. It's designed similarly with an easy to use, and clean bagless container and filter system. I can use my spare belts on this one. It doesn't have as many attachments as the consumer version, but some are still usable on this one, so I transferred some over. I have mixed thoughts on the power cord. The cord is a heavy duty commercial style cord that is longer than the consumer version. It is also removable. But it is bulkier and not as flexible as the slimmer ribbed style cord of the consumer unit. The cleaner works a little better and is quieter than my old unit. Although rated as a commercial unit, it seems lighter than my old one. It has proven itself so far and I hope it lasts for more than two decades. My old one is still in service in my second house. Recommended if you want a basic, good performing vacuum cleaner.

On/off switch broken after 7 months, approximately 14 uses
Purchased this vacuum 8/26/25. After using it *maybe* twice a month (14 times, a generous estimate) and without excessive on/off action, as of 3/26/26, the on/off switch does not stay engaged, so the vacuum will not work unless I tape the button down in the "on" position. The Amazon return window was 30 days from purchase, so I can't return it for a refund. Fortunately, it has a one-year warranty and Bissell will repair it for free. However, they said I can't take it to the licensed Bissell repair shop 6 miles away from me. I have to ship it out of state. While Bissell pays for shipping, I have to purchase a box large enough to ship it in. The only box I could find costs $25.53. So much for the "free" warranty repair. Not sure this $150 vacuum is worth the hassle. (I see that as of 4/7/26 it costs $164.95. Save your money.) I won't be buying another one when it no longer works and the warranty has expired, which, if this is any indication of the quality of the machine, I feel will probably be sooner rather than later. Disappointed in a Bissell product; disappointed in the requirement to pay for a box to ship for repair when there is a licensed Bissell service provider so close; disappointed in Bissell in general.

Great Vacuum
This picks up dirt very well, doesn't get full too fast. O ly thing I've noticed is there is no seal where the belt is, like not even enough of one to where dirt, sand, dust etc doesn't build up on the belt. It didn't sound right so I thought it was hair or something wrapped around the rotating brush so took the screws off to be able to remove the brush and a bunch of sand, dirt, etc just fell out as soon as u removed the plastic piece that covers (kinda) the belt. It was a pretty good amount also I'd say about one tablespoon possibly a bit more. So that is the only thing I could see becoming a issue, future belt replacements, possibly many of them. But for how well it picks up, I'd say a few bucks for a belt isn't a deal breaker for us.

Good Value
My wife likes it, and says it feels light. This helps taking it upstairs periodically. The machine cleans well.

Exactly the same as home version which lasted over 10 years
I purchased this model because it is exactly the same as my home version one. I originally bought the home version for real estate cleaning and it was $40 at Walmart. I had other vacuum cleaners for my house but ended up using this one when they died and I have used it for at least 10 years I can't even remember now exactly how long. It always has had terrific suction. My old one still works but some plastic broke off underneath. It could even be fixed maybe because it is still working otherwise. My problem with the newer vacuums that have the removable push button dumping canister is that eventually they blow dust around (at least what I've experienced) because they don't have anything to lock the suction part in place like these do. The canister may lock but not the part where the dirt flows into the canister from the vacuum. Once that fails or is loose, dust flies around sometimes more than it gets sucked up. I believe it means something that the old home model is just like the Bissell commercial model today. I agree with the other reviewer about the electric cord pigtail. It is odd but I can live with it.
