This shirt is a cut above a typical “costume style” item. The fabric is not see-through, and it has a nice weight to it. The shirt itself seems well made, and looks great on. It has the added convenience of the front ruffle being removable if desired. (It’s attaches to the top button of the shirt, and can be easily be taken off then buttoned back on.) The pin that comes with it is removable as well. I substituted a different broach — no issues there. The medium was roomy/blousy on my 115lb son, who usually wears a size Small. No size small on offer, so we went with medium, and it was fine. Recommend. (Photo of my son and the shirt after having been run through an animation app…but you get the idea.)

We tried a couple of different costume shirts and ultimately went with this one because of the collar. The ruffles come off SO easily, and the high collar showed off our cravat much better. The fabric is beautiful and steamed nicely. (I love how flowy it is!) Cuffs look good, the cool folds in the fabric add a nice detail, and overall it's a quality item!

Great shirt for vampire costume. Material is soft and well made. Size was true. My husband was very pleased with the quality of this shirt and it was perfect with jacket that I chose to go with it.

Sizing chart is inaccurate; I bought a 2XL (supposed to be for up to a 55" bust) and have a 53" bust and barely fit; the shirt is dangerously tight when buttoned, and with how thin the material is, I do not expect it to survive being worn for more than an hour. The button-holes are stitched badly, with many stray threads easily tangling and fouling the buttons. That said, the shoulder measure was accurate and did not bind (a problem with many costume shirts). The lower hem is also extremely short given the overall size, and probably needs to be at least 6-12" longer; raising your arms WILL show off your abs (or lack thereof) even if you attempt to secure the shirt into pants or a belt. I'm sure if I was six inches shorter and six fewer around I'd love this shirt, but the 2XL moniker and listed sizes do not match up with reality.

The shirt overall is wonderful. But the maroon is more of bright ish red.
