Linear motors next, please
Fuji did a great job with this lens; the sharpness is insane wide open (using it on the 101 MP Fuji), it has great contrast, colors, and flare control. I just wish it had linear motors for smoother continuous focusing and to future-proof it for when Fuji finally gets Sony-level autofocus on its cameras (maybe LMs aren't necessary, but would be nice).

Next level optics
It’s really a great lens, I am super pleased. It’s expensive, but it is fairly priced when you start comparing it to even high quality full frame lenses. I always shot 50mm before switching to GFX I appreciate how this looks very similar but gives you a little more around your subject. I often crop in tighter if needed and the sharpness hold up fantastic. There is a little bit of that Fuji character that combines with invisible sharpness and fantastic bokeh for a real treat. I think this lens really shines as an editorial portrait lens but for street and landscapes I’ve been super happy as well. It’s honestly great, if you have the money and need I can’t think of any reason not to buy it.

Wow
Only a few days so far with this, but wow. For me the purpose of this lens is image quality. I don't often photograph fast action, so the AF speed is great for my purposes. The IQ looks amazing, it definitely utilizes all my GFX 100s can record, and hopefully beyond it. Very fine and sharp. The in focus areas at 100% is just jaw dropping. Having f1.7 is interesting, still working out the low light needs of my subjects as their movements are what is determining shutter speed, not the lens or the camera. Which is great. I look forward to using lens extensively.

Stunning Visually Quality
This is THE best visual quality I’ve used in a GF lens and I’ve tried most of them. It’s much better than the GF80, GF63, and much much better than the zooms. If the focal length works for you, one could do w just this one lens. It’s sharp but not rough-sharp like many other brands. The visual character blows my mind. The only caveat is that its autofocus is slower than the GF63, but faster than the GF80.

The best "walking" around lens in the Fuji medium format lineup
Love the IQ this lens produces. Renders colors true, the out of focus areas are creamy smooth, and as sharp as any Sigma Art lens you'd care to name. This should be considered the first lens to be added to your GFX collection, period.

Used Item Sent
I was sent a used lens. I’ve been in the returning window for over a month and had to resort to filling a dispute with my credit card because I still haven’t gotten a refund issued after sending the lens back over a month ago. Shame that this is happening.

Optical perfection on GFX - Best first lens
I found that this lens is likely the sharpest and highest image quality that you can get on the Fuji GFX system at this time. I have 9 GFX lenses including the 110mm F2.0 which has similar sharpness just better compression for portraits. The 110mm does not have the more standard focal range which I think makes this lens the first one anyone who is buying into GFX should get. Highly recommend
