I feel like this grow kit is nearly impossible to mess up. The first photo is day 4, and the last is day 9.I started it about 2 or three days after I got it in the mail, thought maybe I wasn't giving it enough moisture or airflow, but then it EXPLODED in growth over the last 3 days. Takes up minimal counter space, includes the humidity bag, spray bottle, all the things you need. If you know anyone who likes mushrooms, or is interested in trying Lions Mane for their health, this is the way to go for a fun gift. I love that it's cheap and it's fun to watch grow. It looks so cool!!!As a side note, I used the little door that you tear off the front, drew a two week calendar on it and covered it with a clear bag patch (very strong clear tape), and am using it like a dry erase reminder board.

Produced quite a bit of lions mane in only a few days! So easy to set up. I harvested the first bloom and I am already seeing froth of another! Definitely worth the money. I paid $6 for a 1/4 pound of mushroom at the store and got three times that already!

I bought this to use to cook, but also to show my son how mushroom grow. It’s perfect. The box arrived in no time and started fruiting right away. Great purchase.

I bought these on the same day that I bought the blue oyster mushrooms, and I started them both on the same day. They both started pinning around day four or five.This picture is how they look after one week, so I’m thinking that’s pretty good.As I said, in my other review, they have you put the box into a humidity bag that they provide. And I’m questioning how big the mushrooms can get, if they start to push up against that bag. So I plan to cut the bag open when I get a little bit bigger so they have room to grow.You really can’t remove the box once you have it in that bag because they have you set it on some wet paper towels, which softens the cardboard of the box and it would fall apart if you tried to remove it.I can’t wait to see how big these get and again, I have no idea how I will know when it’s time to harvest, but my understanding is that once I do, I can start misting them again and get at least another bloom or two out of them.

I have been plant-based for about a month now and wanted to try lions mane out. It’s been impossible to find it near me so I purchased this kit. The directions were ok but it did leave me confused on a few things (how much to spray, how often, is the bag absolutely necessary, etc.) I sat it out in the sun, sprayed it twice a day and brought it in during the time. I followed what others who had success did but it never grew. Nothing popped out whatsoever. Maybe it was something I did but I was excited and cared for it everyday for 2 weeks and nothing. I didn’t care to try cutting the back to retry growing because it appeared ruined. Bubbly wet white stuff consumed it and it just didn’t give off healthy soil. I’m glad it worked for others, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get a single thing to come out of it no matter how much I cared for it.

I have waited a while to write my review. I bought two boxes hoping to get two harvests out of each but I honestly can’t say I got a second harvest from either one. I was so excited about having access to lions mane mushrooms, but I can’t justify the double in price and lack of production. Unfortunately, I won’t be keeping my subscription:( pictures are of the first harvest and they did pop wonderfully

These shroomies are so cool to watch grow! They grow very fast. They are not fragile, they don’t fall off or out of the box. I’d say it’s worth the cost! Taste good too!
