Alva Maestro 11" Ceramic Coated Aluminum Nonstick Frying Pan Steel Handle.

WOW this pan has out performed my utmost expectations. It is pricey but worth every penny! it is rather large, but it actually saves me on dishes do to the fact I can cook multiple items at once in it, and at different temperatures, just by moving the heat left or right, This thing is a dream on a gas stove. It's heavy and distributes heat very well. You can burn bacon on high, grill a steak, fish, everything just wipes out, beef tallow as a cooking medium, or butter will not build up a residue, a couple drops of dish soap and a couple quick swipes with a scrub brush is more then enough. most of the time I just wipe it out with a paper towel and ready to go. I've used steel forks and spoons while it's at max heat and not scratch at all. If I need to heat up spaghetti, or some other sauce, I don't bother getting out a sauce pan, this thing retains so much and has so much surface, I just take out what I'm done cooking and dump the sauce in the pan, and it's ready in about 1 or 2 minutes. I really didn't know there were pans this good out there.

I purchased this pan in March of 2025. It is a terrible product. CHEAP. As you may be able to see the coating on the edges of the pan is wearing away and the non-stick surface is no longer non-stick. I bought a set of pans (9 pans) from Sam's in 2023 and none of them which we also use a lot are showing no signs of wear. This is a poorly manufactured pan and a rip off.

This is a great solid and efficient pan. Nothing stick to it, it is ceramic and way better than the past none stick stuff. The bottom of the pan (part that touch the burner) is 9" diameter. It works super well with my 8.75" induction plate. I have used it with a quite lesser quality induction plate that only had a 5" element. The pan still did very well, it distributed the heat efficiently. As a ceramic pan, it is super easy to clean. It is the easiest pan to clean, even compared to another ceramic pan that I have from another brand! Of course, you need to be carefull to avoid scratches, I only use silicone spatulas. That said, it won't scratch easily from just moving it around. It is an 11" pan but it as effective if not more effective than a typical 12" or even 13" pan, thanks to it edges being at a lesser angle. For what you paid and get, it is phenomenal, great value! If you are looking for a lit, you can buy one from swissdiamond, it is a perfect fit.

Don’t buy it. It was great at first! I took very good care of this pan. Only lasted for about 6 months before eggs started to stick to it badly.

Excellent pan, but don't crack an egg on it. If egg gets on the exterior of the pan while on the stove the exterior coating peels off where the egg dripped and leaves bare metal marks. It seems to be a painted coating that doesn't hold up well.

Bought in June of this year and after about two months the non stick surface was no longer non stick. I never put it in the dishwasher, used only soft, plastic utensils, never overheated, etc. I reached out to customer service and was told, "Unfortunately, nonstick coatings aren't permanent and require careful handling. As a gesture of goodwill, we’d like to offer you a one-time 30% coupon for your next order. Since you didn't purchase directly from our website, we can’t assist further with your current order." I purchased it from their store on Amazon and not a third party seller! And it isn't like I had it for years, this was months! I wanted to love this pan, being green and teflon free - but having a pan that only last 60 days and has to be replaced isn't very green and the company doesn't stand behind their product.

Fantastic pan. Be mindful of temp. Overheating and non-stick spray comprise the non-stick element.

I bought this for my induction cooktop and it has worked just as expected. It heats evenly and hasn't given me any issues.

A brilliant non stick non toxic pan

An expert on microbiology recommended this product. It works like a Teflon pan, but without the associated health risks. It is more expensive than Teflon pans, though.

Damaged

The pan itself surpasses expectations, I would not have shipped to Canada. Customs inspected package and cut the edge of the pan in two places. This is no fault of Amazon or the manufacture but I feel it is necessary to bring to the attention of customers. I am keeping the pan because it is hard to find a such a high quality toxic free pan in Canada.

I bought this pan on February 2024 and despite my greatest care, only hand washing it and always using it on low fire, the non-stick material started to dysfunction and to stick. There were a few other comments from other customers saying the same thing so I contacted Alva who acknowledged the problem and were willing to send me a replacement pan. Unfortunately, they don't ship in the UK and their warranty is therefore not applicable there. I recommend therefore not to purchase this item if you're not in an area supported by Alva.
