Great Land Rover spare key
This key works great. I got it cut at my local auto locksmiths and I programmed it to my car using my Gap iidtool. The lock and unlock works and the programmable third button works as well. Definitely worth the money.

Programable
Key works as hoped. Had local locksmith cut the key then I purchased a creader 2.0 to program the key fob (you must have one functioning key to program with). So happy to beat the system.

Not even a year
Unfortunately this key fob lasted less than a year. It lost button and immobilizer function all together. I purchased March 2025, program and cut by May, and it died January 2026. I opened up and found it also had a very bad solder job for battery contacts.

Work for LR3
Got this as a second key for my 2008 LR3. It works well. Seems like good quality and sturdy very similar to the factory key. Did not have the land rover logo on it but no big deal. Had a local locksmith cut and program it for $200. Been using it for a couple of months no issues.

not perfect, but WELL WORTH IT!
i ordered two of these... received two different units. one said LANDROVER and the other didn't. one was screwed together, the other wasn't. they both had markings for EU version, but were written over with sharpie. but hey, for roughly $20 each... my locksmith made quick work of cutting them, and my nanocom made quick work of programming them. they work perfectly and my all-in cost was roughly $60/key compared to the dealership's astronomical rate.

Door locks wont program
Locksmith was able to program to start 2008 Range Rover after a few tries, but was unable to get the door locks to work, it seems to be a slightly different frequency. Also the Key blade was different, we had to swap a hu92 blade on to it.

Programed with a GAP tool to my 05 LR3
Does NOT say Land Rover on the third button. Internals apear high quality. Fob cover has an added screw for extra strength. Blade mechanism is revised and not compatible with factory. You must punch out the pin, shave the key shank slightly to transfer.

Works great
It took the locksmith a bit of playing around with his software but he eventually got it programmed and it works perfectly. So far it seems solid and I am impressed with the quality.
