Phenomenal Speakerphone! Absolutely the best sounding in its category!
I will start by saying that it's very hard to impress me but Polycom managed to pull it off here. Now on to the review.I've been using conference phones for many years for various employers. Throughout those years, I've always been very impressed with the sound quality of Polycom speakerphones in corporate conference rooms. If you've ever heard that rich, full, sound from the corporate world, you know what I'm referring to. Now that I have a home office I decided to find a nice speakerphone that would work for me as I'm quite picky about sound quality.I decided to buy the eMeet M2 and the Polycom VoxBox. After testing both for a few weeks, I chose the Polycom and returned the M2 for one main reason (the most important reason): Sound Quality. Although the M2 sounded decent, the VoxBox speakerphone is absolutely superior to the M2. The caller's voice on the Polycom sounds full, deep, and clear. It's almost as if the caller is there with you. It really does bring a corporate quality Speakerphone to my home office. The M2 sounded good, but had a brighter sound that didn't agree with my ears much. One thing I really appreciate with the VoxBox is that the buttons are very intuitive and easy to activate and deactivate. The mute button is a big red microphone that is off when not in use and turns a nice red color when mute is activated. To answer and hang-up a call, you simply press the phone icon button which is lit green when active on a call.Pairing the device with bluetooth is extremely easy as all that is needed is to hold down the bluetooth button and it is ready to pair. I've paired the VoxBox with my MacBook and iPhone. It works great for both. There's absolutely no issues switching seamlessly between the two devices. For the laptop and via bluetooth, the VoxBox is great for Webex, Skype, and Google Meet. Sound quality there is great as well. Upon closing an online meeting, the VoxBox goes back into waiting mode. So if a call then comes into my iPhone, it rings on the Voxbox and I can answer it there. Again, seamless switching. Quality of voice both ways is superb.Again, I've tried a few other speakerphones and the sound quality here is extremely impressive. I've queried a few of my clients to ask about the quality and everyone replied that it was great.Battery Life: the battery life is great and it will make it easily through an entire day or two or three of usage without a charge. However, admittedly, I frequently plug it in the USB on my laptop and that will charge it as well as allow me to use the Polycom software. The software allows the user to update the firmware on the device as well as control a few of the features. It's nice that Polycom provides both PC and OSX software. Very nice of them!Overall, this is the best sounding speakerphone I've ever owned and I'm hoping to keep it for many years. The design is wonderful and it really looks as good as it sounds. The volume is fully adjustable and, if needed, loud enough to fill a medium sized room -- so it would work great in a corporate office as well. Another thing I like is that when connected via USB, it shows up as a device for the microphone and speaker and can be configured directly in the online meeting apps. In that mode, the sound quality is even better than bluetooth. However, mostly I prefer the bluetooth as the quality is still excellent but it's nice to carryt the speakerphone with me around the house as needed. Sometimes I might pop it on mute and carry it into the kitchen to make a sandwich while a conference call is going on. :)I highly recommend this speakerphone for consultants, doctors, lawyers, and anyone else who may have an office and desires the best of the best in speakerphones. If you are the type of person who demands the best, buy this speakerphone. The final nice touch is that Polycom provided all the cables needed for it and it also comes with a nice soft case for travel! Great job Polycom!

depending on your cell phone carrier coverage and service
This polycom products works well. for a small conference room. Works better when used with a wired IP phone with bluetooth technology. Utilizing it through your cell phone may or may not function optimally depending on the cell phone carrier coverage and service.

Mic audio breaks up badly
We bought two of this speakerphone and used them primarily with Zoom in Mac/iPad/Pixelbook. They used to work very well but both of them ended up being defective units after a few weeks/months of use. The mic gradually developed audio quality issues, our voice broke up very badly and other parties could not hear us at all. The issue did not go away after the firmware upgrade and hours of troubleshooting. Polycom does not offer telephone support for this low end product, and their online support is just okay. We now have to go through their repair process. This product is not recommended because the chance of receiving a defective unit is pretty high and you will have to choose either trash it or spend even more time fixing the issue without knowing if it will be fixed at all. It’s not worth the time for sure. I will update this review once the repaired units are returned and tested.

Amazing mic quality. Great speaker quality. Get this.
This thing is awesome. The mic array picks up voices across a large room and it gets loud. The speaker isn't tuned for regular listening, but it is optimized for speech and sounds full. There is a bit of distortion on some frequencies, but it works and sounds great for its intended purpose.Need a conference mic/speaker? Get this.Quality feel and design. Bravo. I am quite picky and this thing is just awesome.

Works well and is super compact!
Overall I’m very happy with this product. I’ve been using it for over a year now. Sometimes it has a problem connecting via BT if I’ve used multiple devices with it without turning it off and on. Once you you power cycle it it connects fine. I only have to do this sometimes. The sound quality is fine according to the people on the other end. The speaker is loud enough and sounds good.

Sound quality is excellent, minor flaws make it annoying to use in an office and cost 2 stars.
The sound quality is great, build quality feels good, it works pretty reliable thus far. I'd be glad to upgrade this a 5 star review.But...It's hard to use in an office environment because Polycom really screwed up a few minor details. Probably would take a day or less of development and testing time to fix this, so I hope polycom is listening. Two basic limitations. It can only pair with 10 devices, so if you leave it in a conference room -- even a small one -- then it quickly fills up, and the interface to clear pairings is painful. A simple "clear pairings nightly" or "pairings are temporary and go away on disconnect" setting would fix this.Second problem: there's no ability to personalize the BLE name of the device. We have two different units in our small conference rooms, and they both are permanently called "Polycom VoxBox" and there's no way to know which one you are connecting to. And people accidentally BLE into a unit in a different conference room all the time. This seems like a super trivial feature, they even have an app to control the device, but it does firmware upgrades and pretty much nothing else.

Excellent sound quality and works flawless when plugged in via USB, but dont use Bluetooth.
My IT unit just issued a bunch of these. We chose them because the sound quality was excellent and they are Bluetooth. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth functionality is so bad, better off sticking with USB. The mute and the pickup button don’t work wirelessly, and I’m having trouble connecting the mic to skype for business. This is a known issue to them, but they haven’t pushed a new update since October 2018. We bought them for executives to keep on their conference tables and not have to worry about undocking their laptops. Because of this being our main reason for buying into these, I give it a 2 out of 5. If they would fix the Bluetooth issues, I would give it a 5/5. Please look up the release notes of this product before you buy it and look at the known issues. I would post a link, but Amazon took down my last review for doing just that.

Don't waste your money
We ordered this item for the office and less than 6 months later it was broken. The micro-usb pushed in and when we tried to exchange it we were told it was not covered by warranty because of "abuse" of the product. We rarely used this product, less than 10 times.
