Cute toothbrush. Bought for my 7yr old granddaughter who hates brushing her teeth. Wish I'd found this years ago. Has a UV light to kill germs, and 3 speeds, Auto shut-off when time is up. She no longer complains about brushing. The only downside is having to put 6 dabs of toothpaste (at each end and center, top and bottom) to reach all the teeth. Also needing to use fingers to rinse all the toothpaste when finished. But still worth it.

Start them Early!
I love gimmicks such as these Dinosaur shaped children's toothbrushes. These cute designs and color schemes gets kids excited to use them and by doing so, also gets them into the habit of good dental hygiene. My son (2) always looks forward to brushing his teeth every morning and night, he says his best sink buddy, Deeno, helps him keep the bad germs away. His older brother (4) used something similar to this (a squirrel or something at the same age) and now he's brushing his teeth in the Morning and Evening with the Sonicare Kids tooth brush. You'll definitely need to help the little ones get used to brushing their teeth a certain way, or they'll be too fixated on a certain area, a single spot, or just the front if their teeth, but I do like to give him free reign every few days so he can have a great experience instead of needing to fight his mom/dad to brush his teeth.
