It works it works again and again.. it isnt the trap it is the user.
so far in 2 weeks - all dead3 squirrels2 field mice2 Chipmunks(This is the big part)8 - rats (This was the initial target. One dumb robin. I let him go.Nothing chewed through the traps (They were never in there more than 3 hours)I put a saltine WITH a slight bit of peanut butter BEHIND the trigger mechanism. The trap fits into a 5 gallon bucket filled with water easily. Im not moving the problem somewhere else. They are dead. The mechanism NEVER broke. I bought a total of 4 of them.Huge rats.. Fat squirrels all gone. Trap works great.Used 1 havahart trap with 2 of these in one area. These traps worked as good as the havahart. Worth every penny I paid.

Works perfectly, easy to use
These are awesome. A chipmunk has been living under my front porch for years with free range to destroy all my flower boxes & landscaping. Got these traps as a suggestion from my neighbor who has already gotten 7 & counting in under 3 weeks. I was skeptical but to our surprise, just 15 minutes after baiting we got our little destroyer. We have reset both traps to capture the one in the backyard. I saw there were a lot of bad reviews, but both me & my neighbor & her father are using this trap with great success. Size, quality, price, shipping & ease of use all 5* at least for chipmunks.

The mice can escape!
The mice get caught BUT can escape prior to being released by humans. This has happened multiple times. Initially, I thought they were somehow activating the cage without being trapped. But this last time, I noticed a trapped mouse. I placed the cage on the sink & walked away for a brief time. Upon my return: THE MOUSE WAS GONE. It kind of defeats the purpose if they can come & go as they please. I'm essentially a mouse café at this point.

Work well, good size
Needed a humane trap to catch rats without potentially harming small bunny rabbits, these work pretty well, caught two rats so far, these traps are not real big so I am not worries about big rabbits. Would have given a 5 but not sure how it will stand up to the weather, (possible rust)

Inexpensive, Uncomplicated, and Effective
I live on 21 wooded acres with a cleared acre around my house. We use to have a 2-3 rats around our bird feeders, which was ok, but when that number moved up to 9 rats we bought these traps. They are light weight, but they're not flimsy, they set up easy, the price is right, and they do the job. I thought we had 9 rats, but after setting these traps for 2 days we relocated 17 rats.

Trigger mechanism is a little fragile
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This trap is small and was perfect for the squirrels we have. The trigger is very sensitive and the end were stamped metal so the squirrels don't chew through the wire on the ends. The problem I had with this trap is the first sequel we caught pulled the trigger mechanism apart. I was ankle too rebuild it and we got a second squirrel. That second squirrel completely destructive the trigger and I couldn't repair it. It is a good thing these come in pairs. The second squirrel was in the trap for only 10 minutes. He did a number on that mechanism.

Worked super.
Worth every cent I paid. Got him the first night. I used chunky peanut butter and a couple slices of apple. Now trying to figure out how he got in the house. Cute squirrel but not my kinda roommate.
