Nail clippers are sharp, secure fitment, so no sliding when you flip the handle open to use them, good texture fairly nonslip. But if your fingers are wet that might be a different story, (who does that anyways..) Really nice nail file, pretty happy to have one included in small kit like this that is separate from the one attached to the clippers. Overall, the clippers are the highest quality I've had in long time, and would seem they'll stay sharp for good while. (Hopefully years to come) The magnetic carrying case is a nice touch to whole kit. Superb kit, definitely recommend. Used the clippers twice so far since received Filer once (Will update if issues/failures arise)

Looks good. only issue is the metal scratches easily with a metal trim. The tools look good. The best part is the nail clippers are quite sharp. Would buy again

Great high quality grooming kit. Easy to carry and travel with, comes with both hand and foot nail clippers, high quality nail file, and hangnail scissors. A little costly, but overall seems very high quality for it even still.

This new version of "The Shears" has many improvements over the last version and all the little fixes\improvements add up to a really nice set. The case is the first change you will notice. I had no complaints about the old case but the inclusion of a new tool made it necessary to change the case because the old one would be too small to hold everything. The new case is vegan leather which looks and feels very sharp without harming animals. It is thicker, sturdier and it has a more substantial heft to it. The case is kept closed by magnets that are embedded in both sides of the frame. You don't see the magnets but you sure do feel their affect. They are strong and the case is not going to come open on its own. I can even hold the case by it's top half and shake it up and down and it will not open. Apply a little force to separate the unhinged side of the case and it will open revealing another change you will immediately notice. All the tools are still made of stainless steel but they are also coated with a rust resistant black satin coating. This is done to enhance the rust resistance of the stainless steel. It also feels really nice in your hand. The fingernail clipper has a more conventional design. While the first version had a slick folding design that would fold flat, that design also put stress on both ends of the clippers when filled and stored in the case. Bring under constant stress was not ideal and the old clippers had a habit of breaking due to the stress they were stored under. Besides a fingernail clipper, there is now a larger toenail clipper in the case as well. Another problem with the old set was the size of the finger holes in the scissors. The old scissors were painful to use for more than a few minutes because the fingers holes were simply way too small for adult fingers. The new scissors have larger finger holes which is very much appreciated. They are still a bit tight but you are not in extreme pain if you need to use them for more than two minutes. Those are the main changes and improvements and they all add up to a much nicer toolkit and experience.

The file is fine-grit and does the job quickly without bending. The case is compact, sleek, and feels like something you’d actually want to travel with. It looks nice enough to leave out on the counter, too.
