Great light, great profile and I believe a worthy upgrade for EDC lighting.
This is a great EDC light. I considered many others but settled on this one because I have carried a Streamlight micro light for years. I am getting used to using a pocket clip on a EDC. The pocket clip is very good and strong, just like my Benchmade Barrage knife, and it’s a deep carry. I like the tail switch and the lockout on the tailswitch. I changed the default switch to activate the low lumen output before the 500 lumen. The 50 lumen is a little stronger than my old micro, ban the 500 lumen is a welcome additional power I sorely lacked in the old micro. I do have to get used to a slight increase in size, but the upgrade in selectable power and the flat profile is a fair trade off. It has USB-C which is great, because I use USB-C everywhere now these days. I haven’t had to charge it yet since using it, and it will take some time to know if the durability factor will equal or exceed my old Streamlight Micro. Time will tell, but I’d recommend others take the plunge based on on my experience so far.

Worth the money
I am a truck driver & both settings light up under the trailer enough to make sure my fifth wheel is locked & my brakes are within spec. It is a nice, easy, compact design & doesn't have the SOS/strobe feature as far as I can tell.It is as comfortable as a pocket knife in your front pocket & doesn't drag too much in a shirt pocket. It feels a bit slick, bit I haven't lost my grip on it yet.It has fallen out of the semi a few times as I have gone to climb out, the pocket clip got hooked on my seatbelt & it still works, didn't even mar the finish on the XT.USB-C charging & it is decent for charging speed, maybe 2 hours when low. It lasts me about 2 weeks on a charge. It doesn't get hot in my hand either, usually stays nice & cool to the touch, unless I leave it on the dash in the sun.

EDC FLASHLIGHT FAIL
5 stars so you’ll actually see this review.I wanted to love this flashlight. Size, clip, lanyard, brightness, shape, even the tail cap switch are perfect. I’ve had it for well over a year. However, two things make this a fail for me;Please note, I literally carry this light every single day, and when I need it the most it’s ALWAYS DEAD, because it’s ALWAYS turning on in my pocket. Due to the location of the button and the way it sits in your pocket, if you store it in your front pocket it will turn on whenever you bend or squat down. I work Security for a nightclub and have needed it hundreds of times, only to find it’s dead or already on when I pull it out. I use it on the construction site also and again, always dead or already on when I need it.The other issue that happened is that the glass melted/broke (possibly from the heat of being on constantly) I have had numerous Klarus, Fenix and other streamlight flashlights and NEVER broke or found the bezel/glass defective. This thing is the size of a dime and somehow is destroyed. It still throws diffused light very well, but it’s definitely not something for any type of distance anymore. So as much as I love the light itself, better quality glass and perhaps a stiffer or more recessed tail cap would make it the perfect EDC.

Has been tested to some pretty extreme limits.
Quality built. Very bright but not enough to be blinded by reflection. Mine have been submerged multiple & long periods of time in industrial strength oil, cutting agents and coolants with zero issues with charging, leaking or loose hardware. My only issue has been that you cannot use the light for very long without extreme amounts of heat that will lead to the plastic lens melting, which is to be expected with 500 lumens in a compact light. The lens has been the only reason I have purchased more than 1 in the 3+ years of daily use of this brand. Hopefully we have the option of replacement lens or alternative solutions. I would buy a lifetime supply if I needed too.

good smaller light
I like this light and the button setup but.....I several times I have had it turn on in my pocket. Other than that it is nice and bright and having USB-C makes charging easy

Reliable and durable
Great handheld. Low and high function, plenty bright. Cant go wrong with Streamlight. Reliable and durable. EDC or duty ready. Great price especially when compared to SureFire or other name brands.

This is, at the time of review, the best EDC flashlight
This thing gets used more often than any other tool I own. It’s solid as a rock and super waterproof to the point that when it gets dirty I literally wash it with soap and water. It’s super compact but still obviously sturdy. I only have two complaints. One, is that the switch on the back is plastic unlike the rubbery material that is on most Streamlights. The second complaint is that there is no half press. Full press only with a long press being momentary on and a quick press being stationary on. Two quick presses will change the brightness level depending on your settings. However, the functionality is the same with the typical ten tap programming that you’re used to from Streamlight. The battery lasts for days or weeks depending on how much you use it and which brightness setting you’re on. I’ve not noticed it getting super hot either. Yeah it gets a little warm, but the heat level is nothing crazy. I love this thing and it never leaves my pocket. Its flat design really helps with comfort. It’s short and lightweight enough to be comfortable in the pocket and not pull your pants down or bog you down but long enough to get a full grip on with my large-glove-sized hands. By far my favorite EDC flashlight of all time.

Excellent edc light
Streamlight Wedge XT, i edc a light for work in a commercial and industrial setting and have tried a bunch of different lights. I have no complaints about other ones but I feel like this is my new favorite. Feels like a knife in my pocket nice and slim, I like how it only has 2 brightnesses so I’m not clicking though 3 different modes to get to high or low. I have it programmed for low first then high so just 2 quick taps and I’m at high which is really nice vs some other lights you have to give “ half clicks” and if your on top of a ladder and stuff in your other hand it can be a pain at times. I also really appreciate the usbc port so I don’t have to take the battery out to charge it. Just plug it in my van or on my desk when needed. Yes there are plenty of competitors and I’ve tried them, streamlight is tried and true, you won’t be disappointed with this light
