My husband has a 33" waist. What size should I get?

Not sure what size. I bought the same size as my pants size and they fit ok. However, I did not care for the material.

does the fit above or below knee?

I assume it depends on your height and where you like the waistband. I wear my shorts a little high, am 5'8" and they hit right at the bottom of the knees. They are not as short as traditional "running" shorts but not quite has long as my typical Russell Athletics gym shorts.

What is the inseam measurement, please?

About 7 1/2” on my large... great shorts. iPhone Max fits fine in shorts w/o falling out in car with zippered pockets.

Are these lined swim trunk style?

Not lined. But nice shorts....I like them!
