Has anyone tried making an extender for this? I can't reach the top of my doors as I'm only 5'.

You can probably add a rod. There is hole in the slider and you should be able to attach a rod that is similar to one used for blinds.

I just need to purchase one of these locks. Is there an option for one?

My exterior doors are 1 3/4 inch thick. Do you have a product that will work on a door of the thickness?

We only have one size of GlideLok, but you can make it work for a door that is 1 3/4 inch thick by removing the spacer bar on the GlideLok with a #1 drill bit or screwdriver. Please note that, for exterior doors, the GlideLok screw and peg will be installed on the EXTERIOR part of the door. It is always installed on the side of the door that does NOT have the hinges, because that is the part where the door frame is exposed at the top so you can install the screw. This will not affect the usability of the GlideLok because an adult can still slide it across from BOTH sides of the door. That is the biggest benefit of the GlideLok, so you will never get trapped in a room. Hope this helps!

Would this work with a bi-fold door?
