Work as intended. I made a contact phone cooler from it. From 5v usb it needs a minute to make a difference but now I can fast charge my phone and watch all summer (at 20C the metal block gives enough cooling, but not over 25C). It ever reaches dew point after an hour or so - without the phone.

These are rated as 60W / 6A. Just tested these and at 12V they only draw 3.5A, so only 40W - not very good!

These thermo electric coolers are perfect for the small little project I have, There are many projects you can make from these with just a quick google search, These specific TECs are good quality, simple and easy to use, they are just as good as others, but at a great price

These devices are very important for creating novel cooling units for high performance computing and fanless systems. It is though really important you use quality thermal paste on both sides of this device.. cold side to the processor chip and hot side to the heatsink (or case that is a finned heatsink design). I love these devices and have used about a thousand so far in my career. I like the ceramic sandwhich design of this product which is now the norm and these are well made. Basically one side gets very hot and one gets very cold depending on thr polarity to the semiconductor device. You can reverse the polarity to change which side gets hot and which cold. It only takes a few tens of seconds to develop a temperature difference. A good idea is always power it up before you paste it up and mount everything so you put it the right way around!!!! Acheté en remplacement pour ma tireuse à bière perfectdraft. Une vingtaine d'euros pour 5 pièces. Alors que sur les sites d'électroménager, il est à 35 euros pièces. Monté depuis plus d'un mois. Il refroidit très bien . Il a passé le teste des grosses chaleur sans problème. Pourquoi dépenser beaucoup, quand on peut avoir moin cher pour aussi bien.
