I have seen this anywhere between TikTok and right here on Amazon and I finally bit the bullet and bought it. It does take a little practice to get it down the way that you want it to but it's really not as bad as some has made it out to be in some reviews. I have owned this for over a month now and it takes less time for me to wind almost a full 482 yd skein of worsted weight yarn into a cake then it would originally take maybe double the time with double the cakes. It is a little loud depending on the speed. It does move a little bit again depending on the speed but as long as you have it secured onto a flat surface you should be fine. It was incredibly easy to put together. Far as functionality, I've learned that if you hold lightly onto your yarn as it's being fed through the winder almost kind of like a guide it helps make the tension tighter on the winder itself to help get a much tighter cake. Also once it's completely done, and you remove it from the ball winder you may be left with a rather large hole in the middle all you have to do is work it a little bit and you can't even tell the difference. I absolutely love this! It has helped me out so much especially since I have quite a large yarn stash. I highly recommend it for anyone who has issues as far as mobility goes with your hands especially if you have been crocheting for over 20 years like I have lol. I would absolutely buy this again if I had to. The price point is a little high but again it is well worth it.

this product works as well as descripted and is such an amazing tool that makes things easier. it can make pretty big rolls of yarn and it manages tangles pretty well. 10/10 would recommend.

This yarn winder works great for average-sized skeins and is a huge time saver. It’s stable and easy to use, and I had no issues at all—at first. Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up well with frequent or high-volume use. After about three months of heavy usage, the motor started to wear out and struggled to wind a full skein. Despite its short lifespan, I keep coming back to it because it still outperforms any hand winder I’ve tried. Just know that it’s best suited for occasional use. I also tried the larger capacity version hoping it would handle bigger skeins better, but it was a disappointment—extremely loud, constantly got stuck, and didn’t work at all for my needs. I ended up returning it. If you’re a casual user, this winder is a great tool. Just be aware of its limitations if you’re winding yarn frequently or in large quantities.

LOVE this winder! Is it perfect? No, but it works well and even with it's issues it blows traditional ball winders out of the water. Pros: Easy to assemble and operate The clamp can go pretty wide meaning you will likely have somewhere you can use it in your house Come with all tools needed for assembly It winds FAST The plastic is lightweight but durable Cons: -The power button can be a little finicky. On mine, if I turn it all the way up it slows down, it has to be stopped at the right spot. -The spring on the guide needs more tension on it, the ball is bigger and slightly more delicate than it needs to be. If the yarn is not be fed straight up into the guide, the yarn will pop out. -The final ball is more "football" than "cake". If you want your ball to sit flat you will be disappointed. Even knowing the cons, I would buy the product again. The issues don't outweigh the saved time and price point for me.

Worked good for one day, then it suddenly starting spinning on the fastest setting and no longer slows down at all. It also came with a piece broken but it was still usable. Now its just way too fast

I love this yarn winder!! I've had it for several months now and have used it a lot! It helps so much and has never failed me. It's exactly what you see in the pictures and works great! Would 100% but this again!

I'm in love with this thing. I might run away to a deserted island with it. I have so many partial skeins around from old projects. I have so many hanks of yarn from wherever. I have SO MUCH YARN. I bought this when my hand crank yarn winder stripped its gears, and I thought I was being a diva by getting a powered one. I was, but that's beside the point. The point is, I regret NOTHING. Assembly was super easy - a single included screw, installed with an included screwdriver. It looks nifty, and has no exposed gears. This makes a much tidier yarn ball than my hand crank one ever did, and I did not have any issues with yarn getting under the spindle thanks to the wide bottom disc. It automatically stops itself when there's a snarl, so I don't worry about stripping the gears. You do have to be nearby in case there's an issue, but most of those have been the standard tangled yarn varietal. It keeps nice, easy tension and can handle a pretty good sized ball of yarn. There's noise, but honestly, it's quieter than my half broken hand crank was, even when it was new. I love this thing so much. Now, if you'll pardon me, I'm going to go make all of my random chaotic leftover yarn into tidy, manageable cakes.

Me encanta. La verdad tengo muchos hilos, me dedico a tejer mucho y esto me ayuda cuando las hilazas se van usando y quedan deformes. Es rápida aunque hace un poco de ruido, la tensión que tiene es buena y si se atora el estambre se queda pausada sin estropear la tensión. No ví que tenía que estar siempre conectada para que funcione así que hay que tener en cuenta un enchufe disponible en la mesa de trabajo para la máquina.

A mí esposa le encantó, muy útil para devanar sus madejas de estambre

Loved that it’s electric & very easy to assemble however cannot use in my country without purchasing a plug adapter to power it. Not mentioned on listing that the power plug may not be compatible with all countries ie Australia. Cannot use to see how it performs until I buy an adapter to convert it.

Used it only once for now and with a rustic yarn and I'm really satisfied with the results. It seems like it took a little longer than with a manuel yarn winder but the result is much better.
