Fitbit Charge 6, Obsidian/Black Aluminum

It was not charging, thankfully it was replaced by brand, it was pretty hassle-free and quick. Prolonged use will tell us how it is. Update- The new , exchanged product is working fine , after 5-6 months of regular, continuous use.

I'm a long time Fitbit user, for over 12 years, starting with the very first device they ever made, and a dozen Fitbit devices since. Been a huge fan. However, in the last 2 years, product quality has been deteriorating rapidly (perhaps since they were bought out). I've bought 3 Charge 5's (all lasted less than a year), and this newest Charge 6 died within 4 months! This one suddenly died, wouldn't charge, wouldn't come on. And being an experienced user, I have tried everything I know to get it working again. No joy. Fitbit support (atleast in India) is non-existent; locating a support number is a herculean task, and speaking to them is a many-hour process. I am currently trying to have them honour the 1-year warranty, and I'm told I have to physically take the dead device to a centre 30km away, and they will then (subject to their approval), send it to the Google office in another city, and THEN determine whether I get a replacement or a refund... sigh. I have now purchased a device that is three times cheaper. RIP Fitbit. Never again...

I had a terrible experience with this product. I used it for a year, and it suddenly stopped working. Initially, I couldn’t find any way to contact customer support. After some effort, I found a Twitter account, but they informed me that since the one-year warranty had expired, they couldn’t help. This isn’t my first disappointment with Fitbit—this is my third device, and all of them stopped working after about a year. Each time, repairs were not possible, and the warranty had expired, leaving me with no options.I strongly advise potential buyers: only purchase this if you’re prepared to replace it after 13–14 months. It’s an expensive device with no reliable service or support.

I’ve bought 2 of these Fitbits 1.5 years ago and this is my review. Pros: 1. No nonsense fitness tracker which does offer some of the “smartwatch” benefits but still doesn’t lose its unique charm. 2. The watch integrates seamlessly with Android and iOS both. I didn’t face any issues with connectivity and all the features were available in both the phone types. 3. You can watch YouTube reviews which go in depth regarding the accuracy, overall it’s quite good for the watch’s price tag. And the Fitbit app provides quite a decent chunk of statistics as well. There is a paywall, but most features are still accessible for free. Cons: 1. Since Google bought Fitbit they’ve had a bit of an identity crisis. Google isn’t prioritising Fitbit products and we don’t even know if Charge 7 will come to the market or not. 2. Not “smart enough”. This watch is strictly a fitness tracker with some smart elements. If you want a smart watch then go for Apple/ Samsung watches. Overall Verdict: I used the watch for 1.5 years and it worked wonderfully, would’ve still used it but I received an Apple Watch so this one is going to my mother. You can buy it you won’t regret it. (All of these are my personal experiences, I’ve read instances online where the watch stopped working after 1 year or so but my experience has been entirely positive)

Display issue (color lines) came only after a month of buying, used only 2 weeks. Not usable at all. Not sure whom to reach out for warranty. Managed to contact Fitbit chat support from website (App chat support throwing error). On Chat they guided to do some steps like restarting, change clock. Did everything with no success, they said someone will reach out over email and guide through next step. No email even after two days, contacted again, they are saying I'll get email. This is worst. I spent 14K for this hassle. Absolutely not worth. Don't know if there is an option to return and get a refund, I am fine with even partial refund also. Will update more if I get something from fitbit. 17-Feb-2023 - After multiple chats and 20 email follow up, I needed to courier (on my own money) the device to Mumbai, they sent me replacement device after two weeks. Apparently its a used/refurbished device and strap locking issue is there not able to connect bottom strap perfectly. I anticipate other issues as well, will know after couple of days of use, don't know what to do. Truly pathetic service

This is a revised review, rating down from 5* that I had given earlier. The device seems to have a severe battery degradation problem. After a year of use, it gets to charging the device once in two days. Then once a day. Then (about 19 months later) it has reached a stage where the battery is almost dead. The device just goes off even when the battery shows 60%, even in the middle of a walk. When I try to charge, it restarts at 60% - so what just happened? I have trashed the device and decided to try a Huawei Band 10, now.

Accuracy is perfect for heart rate and sleep tracking. If you want no bs health tracking this is the most accurate and value for money device you will find. I ordered the porcelain one, it looks little weird and eye catching should have ordered the black one, it looks much more premium. Any ways bought the black strap.

Great watch and health tracker. Google pay is an extra bonus! Tracks sleep accurately, battery life is awesome (3-4 days no charge), charge speed is amazing too btw.

This is my my fourth Fitbit Charge - had, 3, 4 and 5 and now 6! Brilliant - tells me all I need to know 24/7. A truly hooked Fitbit fanatic!

I love Fitbit and this is my 4th Fitbit. But this new Fitbit Charge 6 may have problem which is still pending. The tracking of Zone mins for exercises is not working properly. I have already contacted Fitbit Customer Support 3 times and they couldn’t resolve the problem and is still pending. The photo showed that I have clocked 8283 steps & burnt 2,981 calories and yet I have zero Zone mins. The second photo showed the tracking of my Charge 5 and the new Charge 6 side by side for the same exercise. When the Charge 5 reached 125 BPM, the Charge 6 only clocked 58 BPM. The new Charge 6 seems to track lower. With my Charge 5, when I wear it to play Pickleball for 2-3 hours, I clocked about 70-120 zone mins but with the Charge 6, it clocked zero Zone mins??
