Review for absolute beginners
I'm sure this works great for experienced film-heads but if you've never used this before, you're in for a surprise. The film has a natural curl. The tape has a natural curl. If you don't line up the guide holes just right, you gotta start over. It's a 3 handed job and even with 3 hands, getting everything to line up just right is not easy. If you're just taping on a leader, then close enough is probably good enough, but if you're fixing or editing your film, you're going to want to create some sort of jig, maybe 3D print one with very fine resolution for some tiny pegs? I would try to print a rig myself except I went ahead and got a cement splicer (standard super glue works flawlessly btw). Could also probably just use a flat no-residue sticky surface for decent results, but I haven't tried that either.

Not perfect but it works.
A bit difficult to use because of its size and 8 mm film is small anyway. It would be nice if a jig was available to hold the film in place. Couldn’t find one on line. It took one or two times to figure out how to use. It is essentially a one sided sticky tape (scotch tape) with the sprocket holes punched out and you need to learn how to remove the tape from its holder. The length is a total of six sprocket holes and you use three of them on each side of the splice and you do both sides. Very difficult to align the sprocket holes and mostly you do not. Sometimes the film will not pull through the projector because it cannot grab the sprocket. However, it does hold together and seems strong.During the heyday of 8 mm film, splice jigs were easily available and an adhesive was used. It seems they are no longer made.

I like the added touch.
Very fast shipping. Received it a week before what it estimated on Amazon. Also, thank you for the Christian letter attached to this product. I did read it. I am a believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior as well, and appreciate it very much!

Be sure you get the correct number you pay for, have a splicing unit, suck up at the shipping costs.
Good old Kodak product works as advertised. Shipping cost is outrageous (just charge more for product and we wouldn't feel like we are being had.) I also ordered 2 packages (and paid for two). It was very explicit on the Website that each package consisted of two parts so I was expecting a total of 4. Only received one package of two. Checked with Amazon and they were looking into it but then I saw they were looking into my wrong order so the problem was not resolved (except Amazon gave me a credit). I still needed the tapes. You really do need a splicing unit (homemade or otherwise) to use these well.

Good for the cost
It did the job well enough to run the film through the projector fine.

Good Stuff
Just like what I used to get back in the.......... well....... a long time ago. LOL! With today's modern transfer machines, they will only accommodate 200ft reels. I've had to "down splice" all my 400 ft reels to 200 ft and put new leader on them. I still have my splicer and had no clue the tape was still available. This was such an improvement over that cement you used to have to use and wait for it to dry. Boy, I'm telling my age! LOL
