I already have two different detectors for use in my small retail business. One is a manual device where you place the bill in and view it through a lens with UV light and the other one is an automatic device that accepts one bill at a time and instantly tests it automatically. I got tired of fooling with these and decided to try one of the larger automatic counters. Having read many reviews on money counting/counterfeit detecting machines I was a little skeptical of this one because of the low price on Prime Day but knowing I could return it, I decided to give it a try. When this one arrived I was actually surprised at the weight of the machine. Much heavier than I expected which I guess suggests higher quality components. My very first test actually surprised me it was so fast. I put a stack of about fifty one dollar bills in the hopper and literally, as fast as the snap of your fingers, it spit them all out with the total. I did a double take. The size is a little larger than I wanted but the functuallity far surpasses this small inconvenience. Some other reviewers commented that jamming is a problem but I haven't experienced that yet. One nice feature is that bills do not have to all be oriented the same way. I mixed some face up, face down, forwards and backwards, all in the same batch, and there was no problem at all. It works extremely well and is very simple and easy to use. Since I keep it set on US currency the only buttons I use are the VALUE (to set the value of each batch because it does not determine the different denominations in a single batch) and the ADD button to give a sum total of bills at the end of counting. I cannot emphasize just how fast this machine is. It's incredible! I wish I had bought this years ago. Absolutely worth the price I paid and I highly recommend this machine. If I could give it more than five stars I would.

I've been using for about 2 months now. Have to admit I love the functionality of this. After learning how to set it and its buttons, I can make an hour job down to 15 min. The accuracy was concerning, but the counts have been right. I love the add feature, which allows u to count and add each denomination. So far I cant complain. I told a friend who works for a bank and she bought it. She compared her counts from this machine to her [bank] machine and they were the same. As far as jamming, it happened to me once. I put way too many bills on at once. I break the pile down now and no problem. The add button keeps counting. Great purchase value.

Awesome money counting machine fast and effective. Can’t get jammed up if you don’t have the bills organized neatly.. other than that, works great. I’ve had no problem counting 70 bills at a time within a second.

This thing is amazing! It takes only seconds to count the money. It also will stop if any bills are counterfeit.

I've been using mine for over a year now and I love it! It works every time and is absolutely accurate. It's easy to switch between different bill values which is nice. I also like the built in carry handle.

A money counter that can't count money correctly isn't a money counter—it's a paperweight. Unfortunately, that's what this Lolaran AL1000 turned out to be for me. I ran the same stack of bills multiple times, and it gave different amounts every single time. Not off by one or two bills, just inconsistent numbers that left me zero confidence in the total. I even tried different stack sizes, clean bills, slightly used bills, made no difference. The miscounts kept happening. Weight-wise it's not bad, it doesn't feel like a toy, but that means absolutely nothing when the core function fails repeatedly. I can't trust this machine with real money, and that defeats the entire purpose. Bottom line: Definitely look into another brand. I can't recommend this to anyone handling cash that needs to be accurate. Mine's going back. Size could be way smaller .
