Butterfly EduFields 30in1 STEM Science Projects Kit for Kids Ages 8-10-12

Versatile and fun. I think my grandson has built all of the items and each one gave him a lot of playtime and learning. Adult help recommended, but super cool.

I am a full grown adult in online college now to become a physics teacher, and I love this kit! Because I am in online college, I don't have many opportunities to do hands on experiments, but this does the trick and it is fun! I plan to use this to demonstrate concepts of static electricity, electrolysis, electromagnetic induction, electroplating, and magnetic polarity in my future high school classroom. The book that came with it is simple and easy to follow, but be warry that some of the lessons within it are much too advanced for little ones, but they can learn it as they get older! I definitely had fun playing and learning with this kit.

This is a good project box for kids that have self-discipline. If you give it to a kid that's not great at following instructions, or just overly curious, they'll likely end up taking all the little pieces out and using them in ways they're not meant to be used and "ruining" the kit's ability to complete the projects as intended. (That being said, there is some value to be had in not using things as they're intended and learning in the process, so maybe that's what you're after.) Overall it's good, just needs a little "adult direction" to be used as intended.

Grandkids love it

This an excellent kit for an 8-10 year old interested in physics, magnetism and electricity. The only downside is that the printed material has tiny fonts that makes it difficult for both youngsters and old people to read. Also there's not enough about the science behind the experiments. This kit along with a book that explains the principles behind these experiments would make for a truly 5-star rated product. I'm giving this 5 stars anyway because overall it is a great kit.

The experiments look interesting. My grandsons are 11 and very bright but it appears there will be a lot of adult guidance required. I would worry that the kit is too advanced for an 8 year old. It does help that the boxes of small parts are color coded to match the page in the instruction booklet they correspond to.
