Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International Caffe Brio Espresso Machine. Yes, you can make more than 4 oz. at a time and no you will not have to hold the lever down. Please note, the Cafe Brio uses Nespresso Original Line Capsules **Not Kcups** the capsules are much smaller and you will need to use more than 1 capsule when brewing a whole cup otherwise your drink will taste very watered down.
