Decent Value For the Price
Anyone who needs multiple windows open on a laptop will appreciate a second screen. Especially one that is 16 inches. The picture quality is not the highest. But it is an exceptional value for the price. Adjusting the screen settings is cumbersome with bottons that pop up a limited selection of preconfigured brightness. The color is a little dull and doesn't match the quality of a good laptop screen. Despite being made of all plastic, it feels durable enough and comes with a protective sleeve for transporting. If you need extra screen realestate, this is a good value, but don't expect perfection.

Great purchase - bad case.
This is actually a great product and works well with every laptop I've connected it to over the USB connection. Haven't tried to game on it, but anything productivity wise it is excellent. The color accuracy is above average, especially for this price range. The case it comes with doesn't give me a lot of confidence that it would survive long if you travel a lot, so I would certainly advise people to find something that might be more durable for a case.

Versatile and Convenient
Wonderful to use while traveling. Works well with both Mac and PCs. The model I have is powered though USB-C directly from the computer (no extra power brick necessary)

USB C Doesn’t Work
USB C plug does not work with my brand new laptop. I have all updates and drivers installed per ASUS’ website. Have to use USB-A

Dream come true for minimalists
This monitor has exactly one input connection - USB C. It powers the monitor, and does the double duty of accepting the video signal. I absolutely love that it requires no separate power cable. It weighs less than 3 pounds, comes with a slick protective case, outputs 1080p 60hz, and has a ton of display options to boot. As an amazing bonus, the back of the monitor has a 1/4" threaded mounting hole compatible with tripod style stands/arms. It's a dream come true for the minimalist who likes to travel light and keep cables to a minimum. Some caveats you'll have to accept about this monitor:1) It's a USB display, and accepts 2 different modes: DP alt mode (USB-C to USB-C from a compatible source like thunderbolt), or USB-A to USB-C using a DisplayLink driver. It's not exactly plug and play, unless you're using the right source devices. For example, ChromeOS is fully compatible with both video modes out of the box, no driver downloads required. Base Linux only works with DP alt mode (supposedly there are DisplayLink drivers for Linux, but I was never able to get them working). Windows works with both modes, but requires a driver download if using USB-A to USB-C with DisplayLink.2) Not every USB-C output port is the same!! This is a lesson I learned specifically from owning this monitor. Thunderbolt ports, and most laptop USB-C ports, will output the native DP alt mode signal required by this monitor. However, a basic USB-C output from your desktop PC is not a thunderbolt port, and will not work with this monitor. In the case of most desktop PCs you'll need to use the 2nd option I described above with DisplayLink drivers.3) Using multiple of these monitors simultaneously is very finnicky. Especially if using DisplayLink driver mode. I spent more time than I'd like to admit attempting to get 2 of these working from a powered USB hub on my monitor which then connects to my desktop through USB-A and laptop through USB-C. It was a nightmare. One of them would always either turn on and off (not enough power for 2 monitors), or if I got it working the mouse movement was super janky. I ended up changing my goals and using only 1 of these, which works great.4) Do not buy these for gaming. They are simply not intended for that usage, and you'll notice input lag. These are really intended as "productivity monitors", and not as your MAIN monitor. All of that being said, even with the major troubleshooting issues I described above, I absolutely love these and would recommend 100% for people looking for a minimalist, portable, productivity monitor. There aren't many on the market which are fully powered by USB, and in that niche market you won't find a better solution than this one. I've had 2 of these for a couple years now, and they're still going strong even after travelling on flights with me multiple times. Great little monitors.

I am not so prideful that I can't admit when I'm wrong!
This product was sent to me by a colleague. Being the nerd I am, I compared it to some other types I saw on Amazon. I wound up getting a different one that attached to the laptop like an awkward one-armed hug from your cousin who doesn't know how much deodorant to put on. Just like that cousin, I had to send it back because I couldn't stand it, and bought this one. 12/10.This thing is amazing; I love that it's simple to use: one cord which makes it compatible with my laptop and a sleek case to carry it in. Also, the fact that I can use it horizontally or vertically is a game changer for me. As a teacher, having a second screen is so helpful, and this makes the times I need to take marking home so much easier.

Product broke after 6 months of use, useless customer service and warranty
Ditto to ShoppingLover89's review from Aug 29 2024. Literally exact same experience. The kickstand on this product broke approximately four months into 1-3 times / week of usage. There was no incident or excessive force; we went to use it, and it simply broke. It now no longer works as a kickstand, so we have no way of propping up the monitor unless you use another object. I was transferred from various chat departments to phone departments. I spent over an hour on the phone with them and was told that someone will follow up with me. I finally received an email refusing to provide any support saying "as per our warranty policy any physical damage on the unit will not be cover by the warranty".This flimsy plastic hinge is clearly a defect in manufacturing, and should most certainly be remedied by the manufacturer. They also have a misleading advertisement that says the device is covered by a three year warranty, but no where in the product listing to the mention that the hinge is not covered!!Otherwise the monitor works great, but Asus should certainly be responsible for remedying the defective hinge!

Perfect for travel
This screen is perfect for travel. It fits with my MacBook and iPad and works on both. I recommend ditching the included adapter and picking up a direct mini to full hdmi cable.
