Improves bass and looks great
I have used this mat on my trusty Audio Technica LP 120 USB turntable, with a recent AT VM95SH cartridge upgrade with shibata stylus. It’s a great combination and the sound quality is superb. However, the standard AT felt mat seemed to be causing static buildup, so figured I would try this mat. I can report static is definitely reduced, but the big surprise is the improvement in bass response, which seems improved and is tight, without being boomy. For £20, this is probably the cheapest, yet most significant improvement you could make to your turntable. And it looks so cool with its green diffracted light edge. Highly recommended.

Excellent but you need patience to remove both brown protective films to get to it
It's extremely difficult to prise off the protective brown cover off.....one side came off easier than the other. but do persevere..One reviewer had said they were sent plywood and I understand why now...they obviously could gave up getingt to the disc inside. It may look like there is no centre when you have peeled one of the brown protective covers off.But once you have taken both off, the clear mat looks fabulous and is well worth battling with the protective cover to get to it.Our clear mat looks fabulous.looks superb. Perfect condition,Fits well. Works really well, love itlWill be ordering more as Christmas presents for familysuggest seller adds note "persevere with peeling the brown paper off. It WILL eventually peel"

Looks great.
This record mat looks amazing, it actually looks like it's illuminated. I keep thinking I have left my record player switched on. Soundwise , to my ears there was a slight noticable difference. I played Massive Attack's 'Angel' on my Technics SL 1200 GR, first with the stock rubber mat, then with the Takmork, I thought the bass seemed slightly thumpier on the Takmork mat, and the clarity overall was improved slightly. I have given this 4 stars, as the item arrived covered in fingerprints and dust and dirt, plus has a small scratch. Quality control could be improved. The edges could be slightly rounded, but they're not a problem. Ideally this mat needs to be around 4-5 mm smaller in diamater, as its the exact same size as a 12" record, which can make it slightly tricky when removing the record, as you run the risk of lifting the matt too. These are only minor nigles that could easily be improved. Not a perfect fit on a Technics SL 1200, but still works fine, and looks amazing.

A no brainer upgrade
I'll be the first to say the hifi world is full of snake oil products - I don't class this as one of them.In direct comparison to the standard felt mats on most mid range turntables, there was an instant improvement in regards to background noise and static - also aesthetics, if that's your thing.I think improvement in bass is highly subjective but there's a definite tightness which wasn't present with the felt mat. I try to be rational about this because our ears change on a daily basis.A gentle tap on the turntable reveals more substantial deadening when placed on top of the metal platter - a plus. The size is an exact match. I got white to match white speakers. Solid piece of acrylic, not much more to comment in regards to that. Installation was simple and it seems they've removed the offending brown paper because mine just had some clear plastic wrap on which was easy to remove.Got this for £16.99 and to be honest, even for the aesthetics alone, it was worth it. In terms of value, i'd say you can't go wrong.I'm a budget audiophile, emphasis on budget. I'm using the LP120x turntable with the stock cartridge with wharfdale diamond 9.1 speakers and an Aiyama T5 phono preamp with class D power amp.

Amazing!!!!!!
Can’t believe the difference this makes to my Audio-technica turntable, especially picture discs and coloured vinyl, back noise is virtually eliminated. The best thing I’ve bought in a long time!!!!

Excellent upgrade
I’ve had this acrylic platter mat for a few weeks now and I’m extremely impressed with it. I use it on my Rega P3 and was wondering if using acrylic over felt would make any difference. I’m pleased to state it definitely does. Now, I went for the green platter, which I think looks cool as it glows, giving my P3 a cool look. Vinyl and turntables are static magnets. Having used this acrylic platter for some weeks, it does reduce the amount of static, especially on cleaned records. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement on sound reproduction the acrylic platter gives. It provides the disc with a flatter, more stable surface compared to the soft felt mats. Bass response is improved along with the soundstage. I’ve seen acrylic platters like this costing£100’s. This is a bargain upgrade that will elevate your vinyl listening experience. Highly recommended
