I really wanted this to work for our situation - on paper, it is exactly what we need in order to secure a door to a dangerously steep basement stairway from an aged parent with dementia. However, there are a couple of problems with the product that make it less than ideal. We're keeping it, but it's frustrating: 1. The fingerprint recognition is good if you don't work with your hands for a living. I work with my hands for a living, and my fingers are continuously in varying states of dryness and/or recovery due to exposure to harsh chemicals. This has never been a problem for Apple's Touch ID (either on the older iPhones, or on the newer laptops), so I know it's POSSIBLE to create a fingerprint recognition product that works. But this one constantly struggles to recognize my fingerprints, which causes me to reach for the key, which is a pain to use because you have to insert it from the bottom of the knob. So there's always a lot of fumbling and fuming when that happens. I re-trained the knob's fingerprint recognition a few times, but it always seems to be hit or miss with my fingerprints. Others in my household, (none of whom work with their hands for a living), seem to have no issues. 2. The app is SUPER INVASIVE, requesting all kinds of access to everything on your phone. I have no reason to trust this company to respect my privacy, and wouldn't trust that they are motivated to prioritize my security over their own profit motives, so I've made a point to only give access to bluetooth, (which is required to train the knob). And, once I've completed training, I delete the app from my phone. This is another hassle since I've had to reinstall the app several times to attempt re-training the fingerprint recognition. On the plus side, the knob continues to work just fine without the app installed on any phones, (well, except for the fingerprint detection being inconsistent, as described above). Given how careful Apple has been to develop hardware that only stores our biometrics on our devices, it feels like a serious mistake to trust biometric data to a foreign company with no reputation to speak of. I would think twice about securing the exterior of my home with it, but it's just fine for protecting my 92-year old mother in law from tumbling down the stairs. 3. UPDATE: Now, 4 months after purchasing, (and notably, after the return window has closed), the battery in the knob has reached critical low level, and when I plugged it in to charge it, it doesn't charge! I tried two different cables, on two different power adapters - nada. I left it plugged in for 10 hours, and the app still reports just 7% charge. This product is JUNK.

These locks have been a game-changer for me. With my soon to be ex - husband constantly locking me out of rooms in our house, I was feeling excluded and suspicious. However, these locks have provided the security and peace of mind I needed. Now, with just a fingerprint, he can access any room in the house, eliminating the need for his secrets and dishonesty being EXPOSED. I highly recommend these locks for anyone that is a shameful low life loser who is looking to regain control of their victim and ensure security in their double life they’ve hidden from their wife for TEN years. Besides the dig This lock functions well, to my knowledge offering app access and the option to add multiple fingerprints. While I personally haven't added my fingerprints or explored the app, the lock effectively serves its purpose. Since its installation, there haven't been any complaints, and it provides the convenience of smart gadgetry. Overall, I recommend it for those seeking a reliable and convenient security solution.

I got this to use on my office door. Not meant for security, just to keep kids out. Installation, setting up finger prints and other users, and reading finger prints all were simple and work. The issue was finding a correct charger for the battery. I first tried a long usb c cable with a 15w adaptor and didn't work. Then tried same cable with 2a and didn't work. Then tried with battery pack. All failed. Finally tried a short usb c cable (luckily have an outlet behind the door) and that worked. The battery pack would only work for short period of time, like for when battery completely dies. If you don't have an outlet by when the door is opened, I wouldn't recommend this. I have the lock set to auto lock. I couldn't find a setting to change the time but it's 5s. Which is fine for me. There is also a way to make it where only the master finger print can unlock, which is done on the lock itself. I did reach out to customer support and they were quick to reply but due to language barrier, they didn't understand my request. So found from trial and error for the lock. My recommendation to the company is either include the power supply and cable or put in detail what will work to charge with it.

Purchased one of these originally to use to keep our young son out of our home office without making it a hassle to find a key everytime we wanted to go into the office. It was extremely easy to install and get connected to our home wifi network. The battery lasts a long time and we've only had to charge it once in close to six months with heavy use. The office is our computer room and we go in and out of the office regularly every day. We loved this product so much we purchased a second one for our bedroom. Both were easy to install and have been working wonderfully!

This is a good product but not great. Often doesn’t work properly. It will not unlock when it should. The idea is great. Mostly works. Could be more reliable.

So I bought this item about 4 months ago and wouldn't ya know it stopped working and wouldn't charge! When it was working, it was so-so at figuring out fingerprints. It seemed like it never worked on the first try. But now, I attempted to charge it and it wouldn't charge. It was easy enough to install which was why I have it 2 stars but it is useless after 4 months. I regret buying this item and I'm inconvenienced because I have to find a new knob. Update: decreased a star because I messaged the manufacturers and they did not respond. Super unprofessional. I do not recommend.

I’m really impressed with this product! From the moment I received it, the packaging was neat and secure. The item works exactly as described and exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and performance. It feels durable and well-made, and I’ve found it very easy to use. Customer service was also responsive and helpful when I had a quick question. Overall, this is a fantastic purchase that I would highly recommend to others. Definitely worth every penny!
