The perfect trial run
I bought this starter kit so that my cat could try out all of the different flavors of this brand while I switched her over to this food. It was recommended to me by my vet because she is in stage 1 kidney failure. This starter pack was perfect because I was able to set all of the flavors out at once for her to try! She took to it immediately and seemed to enjoy it better than her old food, instantly. She prefers the chicken dry food, and the sea food wet food. It came with plenty to feed her from the samples several times which was nice. You get a lot of food for the price! Definitely recommend.

I loved the starter kit. If your cat's never been on prescription cat food, that's the way to go! You get a number of items: dry food & canned food in several different flavors and textures. The price is very affordable for prescription cat food. When we started the KD journey, we didn't want to be purchasing serval 7lb bags of food she wouldn't eat. We were so pleased to find this starter pack! I was told to order from Chewie, but all I saw there were the larger bags. I tried Amazon and as usual I was not disappointed.

Our cat was dying. This diet saved her life! Expensive but worth it. There are several flavors to work with your finicky cat.

Nice to have a sampler pack
Nice to be able to sample different types of kidney diet to see which is preferable to the cat…. Actually even the cat that doesn’t need the special food is found eating it also . Unfortunately special diets are expensive.

Perked up our elderly kitty
My 16-year-old cat loves this food. We found out she had stage 3 kidney disease and she was going downhill fast. This food perked her right back up.

Finally, a Specialized Diet Food Our Cats Actually Like
Over the years, we haven’t had luck finding a “healthy” food for cats with special needs. One of our cats recently developed the early signs of kidney disease. Much to our surprise, he loves both varieties of Hill’s renal diet stew. In fact, Mr. Finicky likes them better than his regular food. He won’t touch the Hill’s kibble… but we’ve at least solved the wet food issue.
