Taotree 48 Watercolor Paint Set with 10 Paint Brushes and Watercolor Book

I gave this to my granddaughter for her 6th birthday and today we opened it and used it together. I have painted with top quality watercolor paints for more than 10 years, and the rich pigmentation of these paints and their versatility is impressive. It was easier and more fun to paint with these paints that my more expensive stuff. And the paper--well, I'm really into watercolor papers, so I really didn't expect much from this set. Boy, was I wrong! The paper is 140 lb weight which generally is what professional artists will use. The paper quality makes so much difference, and it was possible because of it to really demonstrate watercolor washes on it, watch colors blend together, and so forth. I really recommend this to anyone who wants to introduce a child to watercolor painting and/or just have fun playing with watercolors.

Nice rich paints. Good density of color in each pod. Good variety of shades to utilize. Some required mixing for some colors, such as navy/dark blue. Cover doubles as mixing tray with the area above each paint has a depression in it. Overall, 9 of 10

These have been great. I bought 3, one for each kid. They love them. There’s a variety of color, easy for my 3 year old to get out and paint on his own. The colors are vibrant and easy to blend other colors if he wants. 5 star - I’ll likely buy these again when they use up all the paint.

I like it alot but didn’t know these are dry paints so a you might have to water your paper more to get the best effect for water coloring which I learned in a class

Great set for children and/or beginners. A5 sized paper 12 sturdy pages in a spiral notebook, many colors to choose from, two watercolor pens with medium brush sizes, a single watercolor brush inside the paint box, and a packet of ten additional brushes in varied sizes and brush types. The paint box opens completely flat so you can use the clear plastic top for adding water or mixing to the little pots. Not sure if this is meant for that, but it would work in a pinch if you don't have a paint tray or water bowl and can work in a confined space. Great value kit to try something new with one quick purchase. Can't attest to the vibrancy of the paints yet, but the kit looks nice right out of the box. Because everything arrives in a shrink-wrapped box, it is perfect for gifting!

Great pallet! I'm just a beginner but this pallet is better than the expensive paint tubes I bought. U get a good vibrant pigment! Plus it comes with two brushes! Definitely recommend this for someone who's starting out but also wants to be serious about it!! Plus the price is great!

Great for daughter age 5! She loves this and the paints have excellent pigment.
