Good compact

Very stable doesn't fall down in bad weather, so easy to use, good quality transports in a zip bag in the boot of my car, can use anywhere.

This is useful to keep in the boot just in case you need to stop somewhere in an emergency The fact you can collapse this down and then open it out with its weighted base means it wont just be tipping over in the wind

Well made item. Pops open and sits there without moving even in fairly gusty winds. Used to keep the postman off a concrete repair. Recommended.

This cone has the Guardlead logo printed on the base and I had a chance to review an earlier generation of this Guardlead design back in 2022. The only criticism I had at the time was that the base was quite light and it would be up to the end user to open up the base and add some weight to it. The manufacturers must have been listening, because this new generation has a thicker base and is pre-installed with weights to make it much more stable when deployed. The rest of the design remains almost unchanged because it was already pretty perfect. The action of expanding or collapsing down of the cone is totally dependent on manual intervention. There are no springs or other mechanism which make the cone tend to want to stay either in the collapsed or expanded state. But once in either form it stays there securely and feels solid. A series of plastic rings make up the cone shape and over this is secured a durable nylon material. Two reflective rings on the cone light up in the dark if any light is shone on them. The cone tip has a hole for you to pull it up with your finger, but this could also double as a place to balance a ball for games, or you could even place a pole in there and use this to hold up a flag when the ground is solid. The hole in the tip of the cone is 2.5cm diameter. The base is held together with lugs and not glued. So, you are able to completely disassemble the base if you wanted to. This might be useful if it ever gets really dirty and you want to clean the inside of the base. The included zip-up bag is useful for storing cones when not in use and for transporting them between locations. If the cone gets wet/mucky during use, the bag would do a good job of containing the mess until you can relocate it somewhere suitable for cleaning. I don’t think the bag would survive a washing machine, but it wipes clean pretty easily.

Arrived in a very poor state the bag will not hold the cones and was full of holes and ripped, £93 for 4 cheaply made cones the height is not so good the 4 lights one not working and 3 not bright at all. The cones are badly scratches and the seller was not helpful at all will be going back asap!
