Easy to use
Best cutter I’ve ever owned. Multiple purpose use. Retractable. Has a safety lock. Blade comes out at 2 different lengths

The blade retracts after cutting so you can’t cut yourself
I use this everyday at work. I’m a morning stock person so I’m cutting cardboard all morning. I bought a retractable cable thing to hang it off from my belt so if my hands are full I just let it go and it doesn’t drop to the floor. Only drawback is it uses a different kind of blade. I found a box of 100 of them for pretty cheap and they’ll last me a lifetime. It has different levels of cutting depth and when you release the handle the blade disappears so you won’t cut yourself. It’s not heavy or a pain to use. If it ever wears out which I doubt I would buy another one

Easy and reliable
For the price, it’s my go to safety knife bee using it them for years. Normally lasts 6-12 months and I buy a new one.

GREAT FEATURES, but bad durability
FEATURES OF THIS TOOL ARE FANTASTIC, but the build quality in a couple of areas is very poor. The tools uses plastic parts to change blade depth, and to open the flip-out tape cutter. Also, the tool uses a unique blade, so you cannot use standard replacement blades. I would gladly pay more money for improved quality and reliability of the plastic parts. Most of the tool is already metal! I ordered 3 of these, and one of them had the flip-out tape cutter stuck in the handle on the first day of use. I ordered a replacement, and before the replacement arrived, another one of the tools had the same problem! I attribute the problem to the internal plastic parts that trigger the flip-out. No other utility tool can boast all of the functionality this tool has, but it suffers from durability and reliability issues.

Improvements needed
I like the guard/blade cover. What I don't care for is the film cutter is flimsy. There doesn't seem to be a way of locking it into place while in use. There also doesn't seem to be a way to change the film cutter blade if it becomes worn from use. Would still buy it , but improvements need to be made.

Amazing knife, despite change of finish/coating.
*coughs* I'll try to be as short and concise as possible, albeit this might be a bit of strange review ;D I work in a supermarket, and when I started out the knives provided was utterly horrible. Little to no security at all, was horrible to use on film and just in general. So I looked around for a personal knife, because well.. Why not. Tool of the trade kinda deal. The PHC S7 is by far my favorite knife so far. I've also owned a S8 and a S5R. The S7 was by far my favorite in terms of build quality, handling and operation. .. At least the handling and operation is still the same but the build quality isn't. My old one, which sadly isn't handy atm (it's stuck at work in a drawer as a backup) did end up breaking. The part to cut film with is completely busted and can't be fixed. However, the knife itself is still fine, and the plastic feels sooo much nicer than whatever I received is made out of. It's just different - It feels different, it looks different and it IS different. Same exact knife, but they somehow decided to give it a new finish which sadly just makes it feel cheaper than it used to. All of that crap being said, the knife is still 5/5, easily! The blades are pretty durable (just freaking annoying I can't buy them locally) and the different blade lengths are both super useful and quick to change between. I do use the longest the most, but I do use the other two settings as well. The tape splitter is a tiny bit of a joke. It's good for "on the top" but on the sides it's horrible (For that the S5R is actually great, and even the S8 is better). The film cutter is brilliant, but please don't abuse it. Before you know it, you're wrecking the metal part in such a fashion that you can't replace the blade itself >.> The guard is also pretty nice, despite I never really use it. I mainly use it when I make top cuts. I mostly use it to cut film away by flipping products around and scoring the bottom which the guard would prevent, and the finger action is quick and easy to use.

Absolutely rules, but does not come with spare blades
Very fit for purpose, even if it took me a few attempts before I got used to it. Since it boasts a compartment for 5 spare blades, it would have been nice if it actually came with some, or if the retailer at least carried replacement blades.
