I’m really chuffed with this. I was specifically looking for something small and easy to move around that still sounded decent, mainly so I could listen to the news while I’m busy working. The Elan One2 fits the bill perfectly. Performance and Sound The DAB+ reception is excellent, it picked up loads of stations straight away without any faffing about. For such a compact bit of kit, the sound is lovely and clear, which is exactly what you want when you're listening to people talk all day. It doesn't sound "tinny" like some small portables do. Build and Features It’s very straightforward to use; the menu is simple to navigate and having the preset buttons is a massive bonus for switching between stations quickly. I also like that I can pop some AA batteries in if I want to take it into another room or out into the garden. It’s a great, reliable little radio that does exactly what it says on the tin. If you need something portable that doesn't compromise on sound quality, I’d highly recommend it.

This is a great radio for the price. The sound quality/volume is excellent given its size. Very easy to set up and use. I can’t comment on battery operation, as I’ve been running it from the mains. It comes with a USB-A to barrel connector lead that connects to the radio’s 5 volt socket. It doesn’t come with a mains plug to connect the USB to though, so that will need to be bought separately if you don’t have one. Luckily I had a few left over from old mobile phones. Reception on DAB and FM is perfect, I am very close to the local transmitters though, so in low signal areas that might be different? The Bluetooth is a real plus as it lets you listen to internet stations via the radio. It was easy to pair with my phone and tablet. A good quality radio for the money.

Loses a star as it does not come with a 3 pin plug, you will need to buy an adaptor if you want to run on the mains . Having said that do not let it put you off , this is a great little radio , good reception and sound quality. If buying for an older person or someone with aight impairment do them a favour and set it up for them, as the instructions are very small print. The display is very bright and clear and easy to read so once set up should be simple to operate. Overall a good value compact item .

Lots of negative reviews for this radio, but I find most of them relate to faulty units, which is fair enough, user error, or over optimistic expectation. Most of the other reviews seems quite good so thought I'd buy one and see for myself. My unit was fine. I tested all features and functions and found no issues and in line with a budget DAB radio. I wanted it for the bathroom so it won't see a lot of use. Battery wise, so far I have had 7 hours use at 50% volume with the battery meter on about half, so I think it's fair to say I'll get about 10 hours from my premium branded rechargeable batteries which for my use is fine. It's worth noting that DAB radios seem to use more power than their conventional FM/AM cousins. It comes with a charging cable but not a power supply, so you'll need to find your own if you wish to avoid batteries. Most folk have a basic USB charger around the house and they are not expensive if you haven't. It is a little plasticky of course at this level, but the tone is fine and what I would expect in this segment. My only annoyance is the scrolling text on the display. It can be changed to show other info, but always reverts back to the scrolling mode. The included instruction manual is not detailed enough for some people, so a bit of research was needed for finer points. I would recommend this item and hope you receive one that's fully operational like I did if you decide to buy. If any one is interested, the headphone socket is stereo, well it was when I checked using Bluetooth, so the unit could be connected to a larger setup if required.

I cannot give a zero review. Didn’t work out the box. Audio was not working. Don’t buy. Wasted an hour of my life with a defective product out the box. Dear oh dear.

Compact with just usb cable needing only a standard usb 1a supply (no bulky walwart supply). Easily fills a medium size room with a nicely balanced sound when all you want is background radio (dab+ or FM). Pleasantly surprised how good this little radio is for holiday/travel use. Has radio presets and easy to read radio text. Also takes 4 AA batteries although suspect most people would use a power bank where no permanent supply was available.

Really pleased with this radio. I was struggling to get a lot of the radio stations with my old radio but there were no issues at all with this radio. It’s not the biggest radio but it’s really easy to use and the sound is great. I think it’s a bargain and would recommend it

Good: - AA batteries powered (I know some of u hate this as DABs tend to eat through the batteries fast, and make the device bigger to store them, but I hate even more died internal lithium batteries with no easy/inexpensive way to replace, often end up buying a new device) - Good touch in hand without sharp edges/corners like the best seller DAB on Amazon, it is nice to hold in hand, which is important for those who take the DAB with them to different locations Bad: - Only 5 presets (as much as the buttons) for FM and DAB channels each. I can bear with 5 presets with DAB since jumping over stored DAB stations is fast, but with FM only 5 presets is a non-starter for me (FYI, this radio DOES NOT store scanned FM stations), switch to unsaved FM stations is much slower than tuning with slider tune bar on a traditional FM/AM radio, if you still listen a lot on FM like I do, this radio probably isn't for you. Meh - Couldn't say the audio quality is great, not exactly poor, more or less on par with the best seller DAB cost slightly less (neither are great to my ears), but for music lovers willing to spend more might be better choices out there, for reference, the best selling FM/AM radio on Amazon, XHDATA D219 cost less than 10 pounds and sounds fuller with much better clarity, when both are playing FM. - No choices to switch off the backlight of the display completely, it has night dimmer which switch off the backlight after approximately 10 seconds of inactivity after 9pm, but in day time the display backlight always stay on, eating up batteries even if you don't need to look at it (came across a couple of DABs, none of them could turn off the backlight completely to save power, may be I am only one care about battery life on the go?) Overall verdict: A decent radio for those who primarily listen to DAB, but the FM function is somewhat handicapped with pitiful 5 stored stations maximum. Better used with mains power, not ideal on batteries with no backlight off function in daytime.

Een hele mooie DAB+ radio die het overal doet, behalve op mijn bureau op het werk. De DAB+ radio van de Lidl deed het daar ook al niet. Fijn is dat je het menu ook in het Nederlands kunt instellen. Ga hem meenemen op vakantie om dan (op batterijen) als wekkerradio te gebruiken. Dankzij de type C aansluiting kun je hem ook met de oplader van je telefoon gebruiken.
