Bought this after I had a PSU fail on me because I heard from friends and other reviews that Corsair PSUs were super reliable. They were right. I've had 0 problems. The cables are great, never had a power issue. Would recommend to anyone looking for a PSU.

You’ll most likely be getting the newer 2024 model, not the older 2018 version, so it’s worth checking other RM850x listings, you’ll find it priced more competitively there. This particular listing should be updated to avoid confusion, since the older model is no longer being produced or sold. That said, the RM850x is an excellent PSU: reliable, efficient, & quiet. It’s just not worth paying an inflated price here when you can purchase the same unit for less elsewhere.

Bought this to replace an old 650x corsair PS I had in my last build for the current rig. That power supply lasted nearly 11 years people! Sure it was older and not modular as that wasn't a thing - but 11 years? My system is centered around corsair from the cpu cooler, ram, fans, pc case, mouse pad and psu. Everything runs flawlessly, simple to install with a focus on aesthetics and the cable management is insane - especially with that 5000d case. 850x is more than I require, but this is also future proofing as I intend to be using this psu for a decade or so. Its fully modular, meaning you can only attach the wires you need, which eases the strain of the cable management chaos. I have 4 cables attached to power the cpu, gpu, sata sdd backups and of course all the rgb modules on the back panel). Great, quiet and modular psu backed by Corsairs legendary quality.

Update: 8/15/2021 I’ve now had this PSU for nearly 2 years and it’s performed beautifully since the day I bought it. I haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I just got this PSU a few days ago and I really like it. This is an upgrade from my Cooler Master 750W 80+ (non-bronze/gold etc.,) PSU and I’m glad I got it. The all-black cables look really nice and don’t clash with other aesthetics like ketchup & mustard cables on a lot of other lower quality PSUs do. This comes with plenty of cables and I’m not using most of them but it’s nice that they are there. I also think the little bag of zip ties they throw in is a nice touch. I actually ordered a bag of zip ties with this because I didn’t know it came with them and I didn’t even use them because Corsair had me covered. All in all this is a high quality PSU with 80+ Gold certification and 850W which is more than enough to handle almost any system build that a normal, everyday computer will need. It will definitely future proof your system as you won’t have to replace your PSU for a LONG time. Corsair also has a very nice 10 year warranty on this PSU which just goes to show how much faith they have in the quality and durability of this product.

No complaints just works.

My computer needed some extra power and so when I was searching for a battery replacement, the dimensions had to be about the same size compared to my 550watt battery. This one specifically met all the size requirements for my tower AND packs a punch. Installation was easy and its super quiet. WARNING: The only reason the battery super quiet is because the fan doesn't turn on unless it starts to get hot which I am not a "fan" of (lol) cause id prefer the fan to run consistently. So that was the only negative part for me.

Nice PSU with some not so great cables. Plenty of power ports for even the biggest GPU / CPU combos and zero noise. My only complaint is the cables. They are very unruly and difficult to bend into position without placing stress on the board. Too bad they couldn't charge a few bucks more and give us a more appealing and flexible cable end as part of the package. Instead you will end up buying better cables and trashing the OEM ones if you have a tight fit or want to avoid looking at the giant nasty cable wrap / tape combo they use.

Corsair isn't what I'd call an old school PSU vendor, but damn have they ever proven they're here to stay. My favourite PSUs back in the day were OCZ and PC Power & Cooling. They were my go-to vendors but sadly neither exists anymore the way they used to. Since then I've been using Corsair PSUs and I couldn't be happier with their performance. I have a Corsair HX850 as my original modular PSU, so when I went to build my new PC I picked up this RM850x model. It's fully modular, it's whisper quiet, it isn't too long, and it has all of the connections you could want. But what sets this unit apart is that it comes with TWO CPU connectors! So you can hook it up to a motherboard with an 8pin and 4pin connector for the CPU. If you're doing any serious overclocking with an i9 or Ryzen 3900+ this is absolutely the PSU for you. The only thing I don't like is how the connectors have this extremely stiff wrap near the actual plug ends. While you can still do a clean cable build in a case, these stupid stiff wraps will prevent you from being able to twist or curl the cables so that they aren't sticking straight to the side for a couple inches before going back to being a regular cable. Why they chose these stupid wraps I'll never be able to guess, but they unfortunately exist. If you're using the stock cables this unit is a 9/10, with the point loss for those ridiculous stiff wraps. But if you're going to use cable extensions or aftermarket cables then this unit is easily a full 10/10.

The product is fine, but do not purchase from this item from GREZ LLC, they will charge you more than double the average price and their returns service is the worst I've ever experienced.

Muy buena fuente de alimentación. Tuve que cambiar de una RM650x a esta porque mi nueva tarjeta madre requería dos entras de 12V (Aorus Master). No ha producido casi nada de ruido y el ventilador se detiene por completo cuando la carga es suficientemente baja. Los cables son de muy buena calidad. Mi única queja es que los conectores podrían tener un mejor sistema de anclaje (entre ellos cuando se pueden dividir) y las terminaciones tienen un forro de plástico poco flexible que hace el acomodo y manejo de cableado un poco difícil. Sin duda es una buena solución a fuentes de alimentación y tiene una alta eficiencia.

Es un buen producto llego sellado y protegido en excelentes condiciones, necesitaba una fuente de poder que diera voltajes estables ademas de que estuviera sobrada para futuras actualizaciones y esta es buena opción. Hasta el momento no ha fallado y el ruido se su ventilador es casi nulo ademas de que no se enciende mientras no sea necesario. El que sea completamente modular me ayudo a ahorrar espacio, los cables se sienten duraderos y son negros completamente dando un aspecto mas limpio. En caso de que me falle o tenga algún inconveniente modificare mi reseña

2 year usage review. Does everything I could want from a PSU. It's silent for me because It doesn't even turn on unless you are drawing over 300 watts. Voltages are rock stable. It's a PSU, what more is there to say. I guess I would need an RTX 4090 to really stress it more.
