Sudden Death is great on its own. It doesn't need heat but it works better with it so if you have the inclination then use a blow drier. In terms of the Black Magic element ... let's say it's bold. My stache is a really fair brown mixed with grey and can look a little weak at times. This stuff really equalises the colour and makes it stand out. That said ... IMHO it's too much on its own. I've taken to mixing 1/4 Black Magic with 3/4 Sudden Death and I get a really good combination of Death Grip hold but also a little added colour. If you do purchase this I highly recommend also purchasing some Night Fury as if you sleep anywhere near a white pillow I'm not convinced you'll ever get those stains out.

I bought this as I just wanted to try it out. I have a thick silver and black beard and a large moustache, and thought ‘what the hell, let’s give it a go’. It is a tricky little product to properly use: heat the tin, scrape out wax, keep it warm, apply before it gets cold etc etc. The results were pretty impressive. Not a product I will use every day, as it takes too long, but something I’ll keep for special occasions. A good quality product and the black colouring looks really natural. It doesn’t stain!!! First impressions weren't good. First use I treated it just like the original Death Grip strong hold. Heat source applied and it held just great as expected. However with the activated charcoal giving it that real black look, it did smear about my face a bit, which I wasn't too happy about. 2nd and 3rd use far better, with less black smear marks. I ordered more of the Night Fury wax remover with it for this reason which I can't recommend enough and not only for this product but their whole wax line. I found using a very, very small amount of that Night Fury where I'm expecting to touch my face pre use (not on my moustache) so it can be carefully wiped away with ease, without messing up the stache'. In all, decent product, quality hold as per. Not sure I'll be purchasing this one again for the smearing reasons. Look forward to more products hitting the UK! Can.Not.Wait!

Very black! Definitely good for sculpting your moustache, but it doesn't dry at all! So if your planning on wearing it through the day your moustache will not hold, however since it remains tacky you can resculpt it but rather inconvenient if your at work etc youll need a bathroom with good soap to get it off your fingers! I prefer something that holds all day and dries. Will definitely be used for short occasions like parties but only during the winter! This will melt off in the sun!

I was hoping it would have given better hold. It seemed relatively soft as I thought it was going to be just a little softer than death grip. My hair is thick and unruly, so not the best.

The Black Magic Sudden Death product is great. The same hold as the original Sudden Death Mustache Wax and provides a rich black color to the facial hair. Also, it does not leave your face and fingers full of dark black dye as one might suppose. I had my reservations about it and was quite pleased that it wiped off my fingers and face with great ease but stayed quite intact on my ‘stache. Great Job Death Grip Mustache Wax. This is another great product amidst a great variety of products to maintain and style one’s ‘stache.

The core Death Grip wax has always been amazing and now it comes in black! My first try with this I may have applied a bit much. My mustache and beard are red so it was a drastic difference once my beard was still red and my mustache was jet black. My second try I think I got it right by adding less and using it after I already applied my Vintage Grooming Co. Bone Crusher wax (my everyday wax). Getting it brushed through the mustache really helps distribute the black wax and make it look less like I put on a false mustache. I actually left it in and let it naturally fade back to my normal color after a few days. Great product, kinda messy due to the color, but a fun addition to my wax options. You can also fully remove the color and wax with Vintage Grooming Co. wax remover oil, which I have also tried and love for the deep cleaning and full wax removal. Can't wait to see what other awesome products they come up with!
