Fish Mate 10000 PUV Pressurized UV & Bio Pond Filter - Powerclenz Automatic Cleaning System for Clear Water, Green

Good quality had over a year no problems. Unsure about pressure way of cleaning sponges But its easy enough to open and clean everything. Cleans 1500 litre pond no problem after winter shutdown.

So far amazing I have only had this running for around 3 days and it is winter currently but this has managed to clean all the muck up I had a fish mate 5000 and it did the job but this one is amazing the only down side which I didn’t notice that is does not come with uv that is not a problem for me though since I do already have a uv light but it that might affect someone but for it price you seriously can’t complain the quality of everything is amazing that is why I love fish mate it is a decent size filter and it does have bio media so that is always a plus and the cleaning it very easy but I would say you might have to take it apart every few months just to give it a proper clean

Only been using this as a pre filter for about a month and seems to work OK. The cleaning mode works fine but having to unscrew then conect hose then do the reverse each time is a bind. I have fitted my own valve system which makes this procedure far easier.

Update September 2023 - The pond pump described below has been running faultlessly 24/7 since I purchased it back in 2017. 5 years none stop….enough said. Our 1250 Litre garden pond has been up and running for several years and each spring we clean it up and tidy the various and numerous aquatic plants. By early summer the cool and clear winter/spring pond water turns green and the five 6 inch goldfish housed in the pond cannot be seen. I have kept tropical fish for many years; more recently breeding Discus and 6 foot 110 gal display aquarium, so I fully understand water filtration and the Nitrogen Cycle. So realistically, my only option for clear pond water was to install a filter. After much research, I bought the "Fishmate 15000 pressurised UV+Bio pond filter with Powerclenz" and powered it with a "AquaECO 3000" pond pump. This pond pump is super efficient and can pump up to 3000 Litres per hour but only consumes 10 Watts. The Ultra Violet lamp housed within the filter is only 13 Watts so the combined power consumption at 23 Watts per hour is very good. I also ordered some 32mm flexible pipe to attach to the pump and filter. Although you can fit 25 mm pipe, I recommend cutting the fittings on the filter and the pump and fit the widest pipe diameter pipe to aid water flow, reduce strain on the pump and allow the return water to the pond to flow and not be like a jet of water. I placed the filter in a hole next to pond approximate 3/4 of the way up the filter and enough to allow easy access for maintenance. The filter and pump were only running for a couple of days and there was already signs of clear water developing. After just 5 days the pong water was completely clear and has remained so for a couple of weeks now. Cleaning the filter couldn't be simpler; just turn the knob on the top of the filter and water pressure inside the filter compresses the sponges and pumps out any dirty water. This may have to be more frequently upon initial set-up. I can highly recommend this filter (and Pump) if it works half as good on your pond as it has on mine, you'll be very happy with your purchase.

Positives :- This filter was a replacement for my old gravity type. The water in the pond is now clearer than ever and the filter is so easy to clean. Negatives:- Only one the connectors had slight leaks, his was fixed by using a small amount of PTFE tape on the threads, it would be a good idea to include this in the packaging.

Absolutely brilliant. My old pump and filter just wasnt cut out for the job as described. Pulled the plug and upgraded to this bad boy. My mucky pond water is a thing of the past and i can now sit back enjoy my Koi knowing that the cleaning process is as simple as a turn of a knob!... would recommend to anyone considering this upgrade....

Really happy with the filter. Seems to be quite robust. I like the one click release clamp to access the filter etc I suppose only time will tell if will last the distance. Dispatch and delivery was quick and arrived a day earlier than expected. Cannot recommend highly enough 👌

I purchased this filter for my open tank, 325 gallons and mostly in sun. I have 3 Pekin female ducks who love to swim in the tank and for those of you who don't know, ducks are very messy water birds. I also have 3 female dwarf goats who like to drink from the tank so I need to keep the water clean and sanitized. I graduated them from a kiddie pool to the larger tank so I could maintain it without wasting so much water every day. I had a fish pond before and saved all of my equipment; however, during a move last year my pond filter went missing. I bought a smaller filter locally that just didn't cut it, so I went back to the Fish Mate filter because I know that brand works well. I chose the Fish Mate 3000 because it has the cleaning feature that makes maintenance so much easier. With the turn of a dial the cleaning process begins. So much easier than taking a filter apart and resealing everything. I use floating chlorine tablets to keep down the algae and I vacuum the bottom every couple of weeks. I totally recommend this filter for the size tank I have if it gets a lot of sun.

Für den Preis nicht schlecht, aber es gibt bestimmt bessere. Die Anschlüsse sollten mit feinem Schleifpapier etwas nachgearbeitet werden, sonst sind sie nicht ganz dicht. Die Rückspülung (Powerclenz)habe ich mir etwas besser vorgestellt, denn wirklich schmutziges Wasser kommt da nicht raus. Zum anderen habe ich einen separaten Absperrhahn an dem kleinen Schmutz Auslass angebracht, da sonst immer etwas Wasser ausläuft. Bis jetzt hält er den Teich gut sauber (8000l mit Goldfischbesatz und vielen Pflanzen) Ich habe ihn nur gekauft, da er Preislich sehr günstig ist auf das angegebene Teichvolumen, allerdings glaube ich, dass ein anderer 10000l Filter auch nicht kleiner ist und somit weniger kann. 15000l ist schon sehr optimistisch auf die Größe. Er macht was er soll, das Wasser filtern und zum Bachlauf transportieren. Wer also etwas Handwerkliches Geschick besitzt und sich so zu helfen weiß, kann ihn kaufen. Andernfalls würde ich davon abraten.

Worked perfectly brand new once started and cleaned my pond within 2 days but 6 months down the line the self cleaning mechanism has stopped working and filters also not working to clean the pond . Contacted the seller to have it repaired or replaced and waiting for their reply
